The Ref doesn't seem to be able to view the reality. The UMP here knows how to make the call and knows what he sees and I will tell you HJ will not score more than 14 and I think that number will be 7. WOS will put up at least 48. HJ does not have the overall team speed to match up. Newton scored how many?? Anahuac scored how many? HJ scored 21 on HF. For this game to even be close would be something that would have to be some extremely surprising plays.

WOS had only 4 plays of minus yards last night. They also only had 40 offensive plays. You do not show everything you have so people you play down the line can game plan for it. When you win how WOS has , why show anything but your regular offense. They don't ask how, just how many and the Stangs have done the how many in 5 of 6 games and won all six.

It just kills me that some of you call the QB run play out of the spread a "QB Sneak" Not even close and you show your ignorance of the offense for calling it a sneak. Hypolite officially had 130 yds on 27 carries that's an avg of 4.8 yd per carry. Silsbee did a great job of bringing pressure off of the corners which allowed for the QB runs off guard and tackle to be successful. WOS just didn't get the job done early when they had the ball in Silsbee territory in the first half and anytime you do that it's gonna be trouble. Silsbee is one of the few local teams that has the speed to match with WOS and it shows in the last few years with the close games. I still think that alot of teams that missed alot of practice are still trying to get that rhythm back. It will come.

You cannot completely keep anyone from getting hurt so taking the keys away is not an answer. Its like gambling.. if you can minimize your chance for loosing ( getting hurt ) then that is all you can do.

Doesn't matter what school you are talking about. I know Texas is a football first state in high school. What I see is that trend is slowly changing at most of the bigger schools. Lets just take baseball for an example. If I was a parent of a player that i paid for extra instruction or select ball... I would hate to see him get hurt playin football and waste all the time , effort, and money that was spent. You can take baseball out of that sentence and type in the sport of your choice. I guess Kendrick Perkins should have played tightend for Ozen back in the day and risk getting hurt and forget all the bucks he is making in the NBA. You never know what young player in our area will grow and become a much better player than expected and get a scholarship or maybe the slim chance to get to play pro ball for a living.

If a runner runs over a catcher or any other fielder and it is deemed malicious, then he is ejected. Ok you ask what is malicious? First if he puts a shoulder down that is malicious. If he could have avoided the contact and just doesn't it could be malicious. Lets say a runner is running twords home and the throw takes the catcher over into the path of the runner. There may be a collision but not malicious because it was unavoidable. Best thing is.. if you are the runner and can avoid contact then do it. Do not leave the choice up to the Umpire because he may see it from a different angle or only catch then end of the play and eject the runner. Any level other than the pros, do anything you can to prevent a player from getting hurt.

Sometimes you just have to be there to see it for yourself to understand what happened. Picture is worth a thousand words.

I found out Sunday that will not be hosting a tournament. The All-Star games at Lamar was such a great success that we will be able to fund our schlorship fund for next year from that one outing. Thanks to all who came out and supported.

Since I was not there, I do not know why the Umpire may have changed his mind. Maybe the catcher didnt even try to tag the runner and the umpire got confused and thought it was a force play. The umpire has the right to change his call and if he does then he would place runners where they would have been if the was not the confusion of a change call. Thats why I am sure he didn't let the runner go to 2nd. I do not what level of ball this happened at but just remember, in summer league it could be just a volunteer ump.

There will not be a formal announcement untill later on. I believe all of the winners have been notified but they must register for college and complete one semester before being official winners. That is why we do not award them untill January.

Admin is correct. The run scores if he crosses the plate before the 3rd out is made. The tag of a bag to put out a runner for not tagging up is not considered a force play even though it looks like one.
