HD vs. SPURGER/58-54 HD Wins/Comments
CSI-Texas replied to the wise one's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I was talking about #12. He had numerous shots and put backs that he missed down low. When he would get the ball in the press he looked afraid to dribble. Just saying he seemed nervous. And there were several loose balls that seemed to always end up in HD's hands that is where the out hustled come from. -

Good game by HD. Never lost their composure when Spurger would battle back. Daisetta did a good job of attacking Spurgers big man and getting him into foul trouble. Spurgers freshmen looked and played nervous missed more than a few 1 to 2 footers. HD controlled the boards and caused a lot of turnovers. Spurger was just flat outplayed and out hustled. Good job guys. -
I think I will drive over to HD to watch this game also.

Logansport is 10-7, a 1A school in Louisiana. Played a few Texas teams so far: Beat Tatum 67-29 Nov. 20 Beat Elysian Fields 70-46 Dec. 4 Lost to Carthage 66-61 Dec. 6 Beat Gary 81-51 Dec. 14 Beat Gary's JV 78-29 Dec. 14 Beat Tenaha 72-59 Dec. 18 Lost to two 4A schools, one by 5 points and one by 4. Usually very athletic in football. Perennial playoff team. Should be the most athletic team there. Look for them to be the team to beat. -
A lot of the new posters are just old posters that morph to a new name.

What is the girls record this year? No one answered that question by Hatchet. Shermdog you beat me to it, I was going to tell excoaches that he/she was mistaken if you didn't read this post and respond.

Was on the field four weeks ago when we (The Woodlands) scrimmaged Cy-Fair. On the second play he took it about 60 yards, he is quick and fast. Not very tall but he can turn on a dime and can accelerate. Has some huge thighs.

St. Pius' quarterback is back and is very impressive. He was ripping teams up in 7 on 7 this past spring.

Talking to one of our assistant coaches a couple of years ago. We were talking about different kids and how good they were. He looked at the name of one kid and said "he couldn't play dead in a western".
