Congratulations to all the girls! I want to send a special congrats out to Kayla and Kaila from Kountze. I had the privilege of playing select ball with them when I was still in high School. They are terrific young ladies with great heads on their shoulders. I wish them both the best of luck in their futures. Speaking of does anyone know if either is signing to play anything anywhere? Johnson signed with Paris Junior College to play Volleyball. Hargraves is still talking with several schools to play basketball.

As far as the girl throwing her shirt into the stands, she has done that for years. It is a game ritual for her to throw it to her mom and she puts the shirt on. So. . . . believe me when I say, it wasn't taunting anyone but including her mother into her basketball game.

Well. . . . . Kountze is taking one game at a time. If it happens that Woodville and Kountze end up at the Regional Tournament playing each other, then KOUNTZE will be ready for Woodville.

Kountze was set to play both Diboll and HJ.. They were not going to play just one warmup game. So, looks like.. Kountze WAS going to play both.. But looks like now, its just Diboll

I think OF and HJ would be glad that Kountze is playing Dibol. They can come watch and scout what they will be facing in the playoffs. This game is a win-win situation for both OF and HJ. Kountze likes to play Dibol because they have all aspect of the game. Speed and BIG presents inside- you can work all of your game situations with a team like Dibol.

Kountze finished the district with a record of 12-0. EC is 9 and 2 and I believe they still have 1 district game left. Kountze has a bye on Tuesday.

Well. . . . maybe, just maybe, Kountze is better than most people give them credit. It was 9 to 0 within minutes of the game. And the Kountze Lionettes showed up to play some ball. Kayla Hargraves had an amazing game. I've watched her play since she was 8 and I believe this was her best performance. Its hard to stop 2 people who shoot 3's, 1 person who can make you stop in your tracks and look foolish, and 2 rebounders that have arms that look as though they stretch out for the ball. I know people have said, "well I predict Kountze won't be back to the playoffs for another 3 years." Okay, well maybe so but for now they are, and for 3 years they have worked hard and endured basketball practices that most college players have never experienced. They are ready. I'm so proud of them. All 7 of them. So . . . . for as long as it lasts -------- GO LIONETTES!!!!!

Will you be back on this board next year? I didn't think so...Kountze has NOTHING...repeat..NOTHING coming up. Your JV is WEAK and you have all seniors except one that is on varsity... You beat Orangefield twice by a total combined 7 points. I don't think you'd beat us again, and I would be willing to put my house and car on HJ beating Kountze by at least 20. Kountze has NO depth what so ever and you can't stop Moore on HJ. I know its been a LONG time since Kountze was successful, but don't come on here calling Orangefield who was a tradition of being successful 'idiots' apparently we are doing something right. DUDE!! seriously?? what kind of car do you have? I could use a new one? got rims?

I was at the Kountze game. No press for the entire game, only man. All athletes sat out at one point or another. I don't get it anymore. This is varisty level play with 3 of the teams going on to play in the playoffs. I know that the press will have to continue the entire game during the run to Austin, so when do the playoff teams get to practice a full court press for 32 minutes? When do they practice man on man for 32 minutes? When you get to the playoffs, there is no "play hard for a quarter" and let the other team feel good about themselves. How does a team improve with the type of game play that wins games after district? It's not like you can say, "Hey this team is too weak to play, we want someone else that can play like we do in our district." The score could have been so much worse than it was. Yes, believe it or not. So, instead of how could they do that, how about man I hope they can win like that after district.
