I know this thread has been derailed but still good discussion. Last week vs LaPorte... #9 Ruffin was playing both ways, LB and RB. On defense he was taking a beating from LT Wolford when he wasn't making plays. By the 4th Quarter he spent a lot of time on the sidelines looking worn down.

I agree. If you have special players. Let them play where it helps the team when needed.

That is true, but you will not see a two way starter under Joseph. Reid Richard played at most 10 offensive snaps a game in 2023.

Just to clarify. PNG has never played kids both ways under Joseph. You might see a situational play but once you hit 9th grade you are either offense or defense. You will not find a kid in the program playing both ways as starters.

Looks like sub varsity got the sweep on LaPorte.

Way wrong. The school is responsible for providing an education. Not to monopolize on sports and NIL. Also, as a taxpayer I am not going to pay for your kid to come in and take advantage of what was built within the community. If your kid is that good, send them to IMG or a private school known for sports.

So kids should be able to roll into any school and tryout for a sport, wait to see if they make the team even if they do not go there, then transfer if they do? Or am I reading your post wrong?

Just a shame that a good kid has been dragged around so much by his own city. Between grown ass men making fake Facebook profiles to put him down, people on here behind a keyboard talking trash and then the sarcastic posts. Doesn't make any sense. I am not from Nederland nor related to the young man but you would think people would have more to contribute if they are going to post besides some bs.

Olddogs kid are grown and done. Not sure why he needs to hang around the message board fixating on a single kid.

Nederland is always full of douches who like to trash talk kids.

It was a great game to be at. I am PNG all the way but had to stand and clap for Fletcher. He hit a rocket out of the park.

I am not sure he will come back. He is tied in with Tyner pretty tightly and baseball.

Stupid take about the kid fighting back. Agree with you on the parents and other students.
