I'm not privy to the inside intel on what happened then to dispute that. Cornel has been there since who flung the chunk. Just always took for granted he was next up, Palestine or no. Dont believe anyone regrets that. I personally would vote Toby to be #4, after looking at all qualified candidates first of course.

Are you saying when WO-S handed over the reins to Cornel that there was somebody out there that didn't get a fair shake? Or am I misreading this?

Reinstated WO-S throttles Carthage for Region III title. Thanks to a UIL ruling forcing Cold Spring to relinquish their playoff spot, the Mustangs took advantage and defeated the 'Dogs 28-0 in the Astrodome Friday nite. The Mustangs advance to the state semifinals against Geronimo Navarro Friday at SANJAC stadium in Amarillo. Per Cold Spring spokesman Euliss St.McD'Angelo, "the UIL said there was no way we could have beaten a WO-S team at full strength so they revoked our victory on November 20th." Per the ruling WO-S will also assume credit for Cold Spring's victory over Sealy last week. According to Carthage spokesman Dewd Terdley, "we don't like it, they used us like a mop, but deserve to advance." WO-S is the only team remaining with one playoff loss.

Exactly. You would think WO-S would be on the short list in this area of teams where head coaching would not be in question. You got 3 head coaches in 43 years. Worry about it when it's time to worry about it and THEN, dont worry about it. Picking the man at WO-S hasn't been a problem yet.

Not to get off the immediate subject but as for WO-S future, word on the street is that they have a 7th grader that UT and Baylor are already looking at AND a 5th grader is on their radar. I saw the younger one working out at the track this summer, he had a beard.

Hope you're wrong, tho I believe there are folks out there that would be glad, secretly or otherwise to see just that.
