Wow, we still have a little over 4 days left of trash talk.  It's ok La Marque faithful, Sam Kahn and Jenny Dial (i'm sure ya'll have their photos up in the locker room) with the Chronicle still believe in you guys and DCTF will have you guys picked to beat the ol'Broncos.  Thats what the Broncos want is to be the underdogs in this matchup.  I understand the measuring of how tough the districts can be, yada yada yada, but any team can be beat on any given day.  Can't wait.

If a PNG coach ever allows this I will gather as many fans as possible and go to the school board and superintendent and try and have it stopped. NDN fans cross the line just like all others and so do our players. I am asking the coaching community as a whole to stop this practice. This teaches this young men nothing. Was Travis at the game yesterday?  IMO how can someone in their right mind make an educated pick if they don't see the team/team's play?  KWP was not even on the same planet as Dayton yesterday.  It was kind of like when I went and watched Lake Travis play, they were just on another level, and that showed yesterday.  Dayton is just a notch above right now.  Barring any disasters Dayton will move on but I expect to see La Marque give Dayton a little fight.  On another note, you guys and gals think DCTF is bad just wait for the upcoming week of articles on the Dayton/La Marque game.  The Chronicle loves two teams in the Houston area and it's Katy and La Marque.  Sam Kahn and Jenny Dial have been waiting for La Marque to get back into the playoffs and I can only imagine what kind of stomach turning crap they're going to write about La Marque.  Guess we'll see....

that was just a good'old fashion butt kick'n....KWP had no answer for Dayton's offense and the arm tackling was definetely not working for KWP.  It seemed like after the HUGE DECLEATER on the KWP's player they started the late hitting crap.  Was really disappointed in the late hitting by KWP, just thought they were better than that.  Hopefully the coaches tore their butts up because I know Dayton's coaches lit into a couple of our players for some foolish hits and show-boating.  That being said, "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO BRENHAM?!?!?!"  KWP was not what I was expecting.  Looking forward to the rematch with LaMarque.

Just got back from the deer lease and WOW, looks like it was an upset weekend.  Can't wait until Saturday.

Here's my take on it.  They'll end up making Martinez another Burkhead when it's all said and done.  Right now I really don't think the coaching staff know's what freak'n QB to use or what stink'n offense to run.  I think Martinez is just better right now, period.  Ol'Bo had his chance to answer a simple question in reference to Cody's play at the end of the game.  Guess what?  He totally side stepped the question and not once gave Cody props for his play, not that it was the best, but that right there tells me they are not ready for Cody to lead that team.  JMO.

[/quote] The only reason dayton is ranked what it is because thier district is weak  ::) ;) [/quote] Haha, like I said I don't put much into these ratings but they do make for good conversation.  What I really liked looking at is the points allowed by Livingston this year.  I guess those teams that Livingston played this year all had high octane offenses with Div 1 players all the way around.  If Livingston allows Dayton to score over 40 points it will be a long night.  After looking at Livingston's schedule they haven't faced a defense like Daytons all year but Dayton HAS STOPPED offenses like Livingstons, just stating the facts.  Hope for a good fun injury free game.

Cody can't catch a break today.  Turnover and a receiver dropping one that hit him right in the hands ending two drives.  Hopefully in the second half they'll have the wind at their back and they'll let Cody air it out a little.

I'm not big on the Massey ratings either it's just fun to look at.  I was mainly looking at the schedule of Livingston and how many points they have given up this year.  If this turns into a track meet Livingston won't be able to keep up.

Dayton's secondary has always been suspect over the years and that's no secret.  In the past the secondary was giving up huge plays and NEVER looking back at the ball.  It seems as though this year they are giving up fewer big plays and are always around the ball on pass plays.  If the secondary can keep this same intensity it will bode well against teams like Brenham who work the pass really well.  I don't like comparing teams from past because there are so many little factors that come into play.  Dayton will be fine, they just have to execute and get some breaks.
