[/quote] I looked on here last nite, but didn't see anything about the game and I was at my friend's house and didn't have a good internet connection and everything was taking forever,  so decided I would wait until I got home.  Congratulations go to Manvel for a great game.  I thought there for a minute that the Coogs might pull it out (even though I had my eyes closed almost the entire 2nd half), but they just dug themselves too deep a hole the first half and couldn't quite recover from it.  I guess this is Manvel's year and they do have an awesome team.  There are a lot of LM fans that are rooting for Manvel now to bring home the championship to 24 4A, including myself.  It was obvious after the game that Manvel and La Marque have the utmost respect for each other.  Congratulations to the coaching staff and the entire team for a job well done.  Good luck the rest of the way.

[/quote] I do believe that both sides were at fault and there should be consequences for both sides especially those players that threw the first punches.  I do see that not all posts in this thread are putting all the blame on La Marque, but I guess the title of the thread is what was initially offensive to me.  I really don't have any suggestions of what kind of consequences should be imposed as I'm really not sure about all the UIL rules and what the UIL is allowed to do in situations like this.

[/quote] I have been going to La Marque playoff games for 25 years.  I can only remember one game where anything close to this happened, which I believe was last year against Yates where they didn't shake hands at the end due to an earlier altercation in the game.  As the teams were meeting at the field at the end of the game Saturday before the brawl broke out, I mentioned to my friend sitting beside me that I was surprised that they allowed them to do that considering the earlier brawl that had occurred.  And why is everyone on here saying that only La Marque should be punished when it is clear that players from both sides were at fault?

I have been on coogsports.net off and on all night and it hasn't been acting up.

I think that there is a UIL rule about using any kind of noise makers, but don't think it is enforced consisitently. I have been to games where air horns and other noise makers have been used and nothing was said and games where they have been used and people were told that if they used it again they would be kicked out of the stadium...I remember a La Marque playoff game that was somewhere in Houston where I brought my cowbell and I was told not to use it again or I would be asked to leave...that is the only game that I can recall that I was told not to use it...anyway I plan to bring it to the game tomorrow...I will be driving from Nacogdoches to La Marque for the game tomorrow morning...I hope everyone has a safe trip and...Go Coogs!!
