Eventually Bubba and pole-cat wake and pole-cat goes off into the single wide on stilts to find something to wear.  Seems pole-cat got a new thigh dragon tattoo the night before and had bleed on her shorts.  Pole-cat comes out of the house screaming rat! rat ! rat !!!!!  Bubba grabs the neighbor's shot gun and runs into the house.  Yes, you guessed it, Smoking Baby has got to see this!  Not moving as fast as bubba I don't make it into the bedroom before bubba is able to fire 3each #8 12ga shots through the closet ceiling and up through the tin roof.  Bubba was proud and said, "I think I got him!".  Back to the lawn chair bubba went.  If your wondering, yes I can confirm bubba "got him".  See, a week later there were maggots falling into the closet through the holes that were fired, so yes, "bubba got him".  Now, I know some of you are wondering what happened to the squirls.  Fear not my culinary friends, about 30 minutes later the neighbor had skinned the squirls, de-boned them (failed to rince the blood off) and cooked the squirl in scrambled eggs.  I know, some of you Daytonites are saying, what's wrong with that?  A part of this story I have not told really brings the quality of a meal to light. See the pan that the eggs and squirl were cooked in came from the kitchen.  I know because I went into the trailer to get it for the neighbor (remember pole-cat was passed out).  The pan has mouse dropping and some mystery fluid in it.  Pole-cat woke as I was telling the neighbor about the foreign matter in the pan and she said, here I'll wash it.  No, I know what your thinking, not a goot steril scrub.  Pole-cat turned on the outdoor garden hose, rane about a cup of water in it and dumped it out.  "Here you go", she says.  "Those look like some fat squirls" neighbor.              [/quote] I'm not sure if this says more about Dayton or you and your friends....??

Josh is there to do exactly that....stir the pot.  He's pretty much a moron but somehow he pisses me off and makes me laugh at the same time.  I doubt he's going anywhere....the ratings have gone up on every show he's been on and like it or not that's what they're judged on. 

I doubt it'll even get them any bad press....the vast majority of folks in the listening area have no interaction with Vidor or anyone from there. 

It'll be interesting to see as large as the districts are.  2 Non-District games for 19...jeez.

Example:  How many Non-District 4A Schools will GCM pass on their way to Galveston Ball?  I counted 9 but it depends on which way you go I guess.  That's not to mention BH who is about 10 minutes in the other direction or Dayton 20 minutes...

24-4A just doesn't seem to make sense.

[/quote] There's been stories on this guy out there for quite a while.  It's hard to say that it wouldn't fly because it's so much against the norm.  There's also the guy (don't know his name and not going to look it up) out there who did all the statistical analysis on football that recommended going for it 4th and 4 from your own 20 that wasn't received well either.  The real question is would anyone in TX even take a chance on someone with this aggresive of a philosophy....I somehow doubt it but who knows.  Of course there are still the guys out there that hate the spread offense even though it's pretty much a proven winner at this point.  If you ever read Mike Leach's book he ran into quite a bit of resistance through his early coaching career at places like Valdosta State where "they said you have to be able to run the ball up the middle to win."  I wouldn't dismiss this guys ideas until someone actually tries them.  It can't be comforting for a coach to be ahead 35-7 in the middle of the third quarter and know it's not nearly a big enough lead because the other team can score 4 TD's in a much shorter period of time then a regular team.  As I recall, the balls to the wall philosophy is pretty much how the Bills came back on the Oilers in that playoff game back in the early '90's.

The coach must have provoked them somehow.  Another LM game, another LM fight.  Where are all the LM fans to tell us how this one is not their fault either?  As Panama said, same song verse 57....

Man Aledo has one heck of a coaching staff and plays tough football!  Besides J. Gray, Manvel had the athletic advantage at just about every position (or at least that's what it looked like on TV).  The difference between the Aledo I saw against Stephenville and Birdville defensively and the one that played in the championship was night and day.  Just seems like a class program from top to bottom.  Congrats!

That had to be one of the most Bazaar things to ever occur at a game.  If you've watched the overhead video, you can see one of the two guys loading the cart take off after it and chase it across the field but can't catch it.  You would think he would have been yelling heads up or something??  Just Bazaar.

It amazes me how much talent that Manvel has.  Execution....well that's a different story. 

This is a tough one to call...2 weeks ago I'd have said Manvel in a landslide but they've had some mediocre performances the last two weeks.  Manvel, Katy, and Brenham were the best defenses I saw this year.  Aledo has the best offense and the best player, but Manvel is not behind by much offensively.  Manvel CANNOT make the mistakes they've made thus far in the playoffs and win this game.  Gonna be a great one to watch on tv....would be nice to go back to some neutral sites so us Southern Texas folks can actually attend a state game once in awhile.

They won't stop them but they'll slow them down enough.  The real question is Aledo's suspect defense against Manvel O.

[/quote] Maybe you don't want to get overconfident but I'm happy to oblige....we must be watching different films or something.  This shifty little running back may break loose once or twice but there won't be any sustained drives.  I also don't see the Calallen defense stopping Manvel without a bunch of turnovers (which honestly I've seen before ;).  Manvel is going to dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and has better skill players and more depth.  Hence, I see a blowout but I've been wrong before.
