Ah man, I'll give Cody his due...he was a better QB than I ever thought he'd be. HOWEVER, AJ is just a level above everyone else in High School. Besides Garrett Gilbert at LT, I wouldn't take any other player in the state.

To be fair to Lumberton...Crosby had a pretty good team this year with a lot of speed. It took a fake field goal by Brenham to beat 'em.

Dude Central lost by one point in the regional finals... That means that they were one of the four best in the area... Division one and two... See it did not matter in the case of OU and Texas so no it wont matter here... You can go undefeated in the regular season and lose in the first round and no one will remember you... Dallas was 11-3 first in the NFC and lost in the first round, they did not get any accolades after that. Just the way it goes... You must win when it counts... They will remember Central in the regional final losing to Friendswood and the Texas Tech signee by one. Lumberton is the first 20-4A team to lose to a 19-4A team (not named Dayton) in the bidistrict in nearly a decade..... That is not a good stat... If you really want to quibble...Dayton was in 20-4A last year and you could say they're just "on loan" to 19-4A. Newspapers are starting to suck because of the proliferation of the internet and not vice-versa. Why wait a day to get the news in print when you can get it instantly on ESPN.com or some other internet source? The Liberty Vindicator is the largest paper in Liberty County...they probably have 3 reporters. These boards are great...we really do get to find out who the players to watch are from the other teams that never get reported in the paper. It even let's us Dayton fans keep up with 20-4A even though we only played Livingston (who is probably further from Beaumont than Dayton is). Of course Dayton would rather BE in 20-4A even if we have to drive 90 minutes to get to LCM...
