Someone tell Coach Stewart to drive by Greenway Plaza when he heads through Houston so I can drop some purple confetti of the 16th floor...

I still like the weakside overload that they threw at Tivy...they had a tough time on sure passing downs with Stapleton and young running free to the QB.
-
well of course they'll use Jace, but they'll also be using my homeboy Shane McQueen (greased lighting) and Ryan Young our outstanding runningback, just no that if Dayton focuses on blocking our passing game, we'll run it in the in-zone, and vice/versa. They'll have the best chance having a well rounded defensive setup, i probably shouldn't be giving pointers to the enemy so ill shut up now lol Oh and from what I know Jace has been looking at Baylor i think And a little something, Our star QB Tyrick Rollison needs to work on his grades before he should think about a DI school, the reason he couldn't play Basketball is because he failed. And SS is the visitor again to answer that other guys question, we've amazingly been visitors 6 times in a row No man, #4 is one of Dayton's back-up D-Lineman that gets after the QB. From the sounds of it...they'll be plenty of sub 4.5's on the field Saturday. Anyone actually have any info on 40 times from the home team? Got Cody and AJ because they're all over the prep sites. 2,10,15 all have wheels and well does anyone run faster than 6? 35 aint slow by any means either...not a burner but man that kid is a football player...football speed is what he's got. 5 looks like he's got sub 4.6 wheels along with 20.

I agree. Until you have seen them play you will not understand how AWESOME they are. LT by more than 3 TD's. I second and third that. LT is shake your head and slap your mama good. FW got on the boat on this one...even though you're getting your butt whipped it's almost an honor to watch football played that well. -
That's crummy....I vote for a change of venue...!!

I smell what you're cookin, but I have to say every battle these teams have been in matter. It helps to be able to overcome tough obstacles and perform under pressure. Sounds like it's gonna be a barnburner! Used to think that...then watched USC mop the field with Oklahoma. Tough schedule, tough games...they really make you better or just take that much more out of you?

Actually, wouldn't it be you'RE an idiot? Get your grammar together before calling anyone an idiot.

What 7mary3 said on the San Antonio site. I think quite a few of the comments have been deleted by now...or they should be...they wouldn't have made it 3 minutes with our administrators. Didn't want to group all the fans from k-ville in there because yall showed up strong on this board last week...just some pretty sick and pathetic stuff on there...I couldn't believe some of the things that I read.

LV will not be the best team LT has seen all year. LT, on the other hand, may be the best team that ANY OF US have ever seen. LV's running back can churn out yards and burn up the clock all day long...won't make a difference. We'll be seeing Gilbert play on Sunday, barring any injury, for years to come. LV is great, LT is AWESOME. -
Haha, I've seen all the posts from Tivy fans crying in their cereal. Amazing, they're actually blaming THE REFS for stealing the game and handing it to Dayton. They should go to toups graphics and check it out...was actually AJ that stole the game. I guess we all make the same excuses wherever we are...right? The refs lost them nothing...coach decided to run the two minute drill INTO A 40 MPH WIND with a field goal kicker who was suspect at best...probably not the right decision. QB was having problems throwing into the wind all day and almost threw a pick 6 on the first play of the drive. Have to admire the aggressiveness but there's a point where you have to say let's just get down on this ball and take it to overtime. If he's got the wind I understand but I doubt the kicker makes anything longer than a 30 yarder into that wind. Also saw their Dayton is a bunch of thugs posts, trying to start fights etc, etc...heck they even threw the race card in there as well. Some of their fans are now showing their true colors. All smack talk aside, which is what makes this board fun, there's a line that shouldn't be crossed. Bringing up a person's heritage and referring to them as "thug" is way over the line. I saw the greatest HS game I've seen in person on Saturday...both teams played hard and to the very end. Please fellow Bronco fans, don't be suckered in and stoop to that level...nothing should tarnish that game from Saturday.

Stupid if you ask me...how many of us can say we were as much of a man at 16-18 than we were at 19-21? Heck I graduated at 17 and was much more of a man at 19...oh and here all of you come I'm sure with the "you're not even a man now" or the tried and true "Powder Puff Superstar lines."

Yeah, we know the feeling. Fortunately, high school games are not decided on rankings. Great to actually have someone on here from another school who knows football and tells us what we can expect. I have posted information on the Smoaky site about Dayton without getting too detailed...pointed them to the Toups site as well. Man, it's getting tougher to talk junk now that we know less and less about the teams we're facing. I found a broadcast of WF Rider and SS and I guess it was from earlier this year?? QB looks to be the real deal, good receivers, good running back with speed. Line does an excellent job pass protecting but the QB is also elusive and scrambles to throw instead of run...he's always looking downfield. Just from a quick look, SS throws more than Dayton and get's all the receivers involved more. #1 has some good speed. That being said, #6 Cameron La Cour from Dayton is still the fastest man on the field but SS has a couple of guys that would be in the race. I'm not sure about the recruiting of Dayton Athletes...Cody and AJ because...well it's hard not to notice Major Applewhite in Dayton and the Nebraska contingent at every game. For those that follow this board...a FW fan made a remark about Nebraska vs TT and how Nebraska was known for their poor sportsmanship. This guy says he has an interest in Nebraska...my guess is he's a fan. He'd probably invite you to his tailgate on Friday if you show up from d-town. Nebraska has the best fans I've ever seen anywhere when it comes to supporting their team and showing respect before and after the game. I'm sure the junk will start flying here soon though...they'll be some ignorant posters make their way on here...then the fun will begin. Until then, good luck to SS.

Fatty man, how do you post a comment. I've been all over the page and can't even find out how to register. Not a very good set-up -
Last-minute thriller sends Broncos to state

what the crowd sees from the stands and what you see on the sideline are completely different...there were 3 calls, personal foul calls, that were completely superfluous...two of them involved players tripping over downed players, no pushing, no shoving... Refs have a hard job, no doubt...but if you're not sure, you can't throw the flags...and they weren't sure, they were just showing precaution...you've got to let the kids play!!! You can turn that same comment around and it is just as valid. What you see on the sideline and what you see from an elevated position are completely different. There is a reason coaches climb stairs and sit in the pressbox and it is not because they want to tone their calves. There is no statewide conspiracy be referees, and there was no agenda Saturday. Dayton won and gets to play for a state title next week. Be happy about it. At the end of the day complaining about refs is a loser's game and Dayton are winners. C'mon man...how can it be a discussion board without complaining about the refs. If you think the refs are truly objective...well I'd just say it's highly unlikely you get 6 people together that have a truly neutral view of the players and both teams. Two pointer looked good from where I was sitting...had his hands under the ball. It was on the opposite side of the stadium. Three personal fouls and the pass interference happened DIRECTLY in front of me. 1 of them was marginal but could have been called, 1 of them was bad, and the late hit out of bounds was unacceptable. PI...um, um, I could see it maybe, but I just thought that was a no call. Ball behind the receiver almost uncatchable, both going for the ball. -
The goat is a marine...I thought he still lived off Montrose?? Dude, I think Stewart spends the offseason watching tape at home of every team in the state just to see their returning players on film. U guys realize he was at the school at 6:30 this morning after taking a whole hour off to celebrate. Dude is just a stud...if some other school tries to get him, I'll promise 1/4 of my salary to the school district's special "keep Stewart" bonus fund!!

Lake Travis vs. Friendswood/UPDATES/LT ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's back to back years. They look REALLY good against lesser teams but it seems like they have trouble when they run into a team that can handle their defense and what they do. Tough time adjusting it seems, but 14-1 is 14-1 so they did something right. I really wanted to see them against Dayton at state just because we've heard so much about them. Plus they line up and run it down your throat and I haven't seen that type of team beat Dayton in 2 years. ROT, I didn't GO to the Lumberton game either...said I haven't SEEN it ;). -
No doubt this will be a tough game...Soulja, Dayton has been running the no-huddle hurry up now for about 8 years...nothing we haven't seen before. QB is a great athlete no doubt...looks to scramble and throw the ball and is not a run first guy. No one can cover forever and the two big plays Tivy made were from the QB scrambling around till a guy busted open. My guess is that Dayton probably throws a bunch of defenses to see if he can adjust with some overload blitzes and zone looks. They will complete some passes and let's hope that Dylan and Xavier drop some big hits early like the Tivy game. Their receivers were sure wary about coming over the middle and they didn't attempt much over the middle after the first few drives. As for the offense, I'd like to see them get the pass game established early in this game. Teams are really starting to key on Cody and AJ at the line and not respecting the pass as much. It was interesting how well it worked there near the end of the game when we really needed it against Tivy. I'm not going to argue with coach though, what he's done has worked so far.

THIS IS THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! Who's district was tough doesn't matter, what one team did to another team doesn't matter. Each coach will have their players ready to play and they'll probably pull every trick in the book. The descriptions I've seen of SS aren't any different than the ones I'd give about Dayton. This game is going to come down to turnovers, who executes, and who makes the least amount of mistakes. My guess is Dayton throws the kitchen sink at SS on defense. Can't pick against my hometown boys...Dayton wins in a shootout.
