Wow, if you'd been at those games against the first year programs you would have seen the coaches take it easy on them. The starters didn't play in the second half of either game. Yes, the score could have been 84-0 in both cases. They also put up 35 in the first half against Brenham in the Regional Final. Last time I checked, Brenham has been around a little while. Sorry but these coaches won't drop 70 on someone and humiliate them. Dayton is going to score and the defense will be tough to score upon. I'm tired of hearing the we played this team and beat that team and it makes us more prepared...heard the same argument about USC before the USC-Oklahoma national championship game as well. How'd that game go again?

Anyone else notice that 3 of the remaining 4 run the spread offense...I thought it was just a fad?? touch football with pads!! that's my favorite so far. Not sure about that, but he used to try and get a bowling ball in the little golf hole, crazy bastard! Didn't he throw like 18 touchdown passes to Bretty Reaves in Pee-Wee ball as well? The best was when he got arrested for jumping his truck and doing doughnuts in the parking lot at the old high school. Didn't he also forget his glove and spikes at home when he actually needed them his Sr. year since he was pitching a game at Lumberton: Broncos Win and they are in the Play-Offs: We know how that turned out as well. Rankings don't mean squat. You've got some computer geek sitting in an office 1,000 miles away who's never played football in his life trying to crunch statistics for over 1,000 high school teams and put it in a database that will rank the teams based on what they've DONE. Unfortunately, there's no way to account for what they will DO. Hence, they line up on the field and play whoever is on the other side. No one in high school is thinking about how high the other team is ranked. Don't give me this tough schedule crap either...tough schedules only justify losses.

It's going to come down to which team either makes stops or gets turnovers...the offenses are evenly matched but the defensive advantage goes to Dayton.

Look man, I'm sorry but Tivy gave up OVER 300 POINTS THIS SEASON. The defense is nothing special and trust me we've seen much better. The offense is as good as we've seen but spare me on the defenses, Tivy reminds me of Friendwood light.

Actually, the WR was not at fault that play but I believe it was you saying that Green could not throw the deep ball well and now, all of a sudden, you are saying he hits the deep ball consistently. You are going back and forth with your assesments of Green... Yes the receiver was a fault on that play. You run THROUGH the ball and the post route goes to the post and not the corner of the end zone. He cut the route too sharp...the ball was right on the money. I'm not flip-flopping either, he had his best game of the year throwing deep. I never said he's now consistent. My point was he keeps making those throws and I don't see anyone stopping the offense because you won't be able to load the box.

Tivy is the real deal. Their offense is organized chaos + speed. You can't stop every weapon. You can just try to slow them down. I see this game as a shootout with both teams scoring alot of points. Dayton reminds me alot of Alamo Heights. Big Qb, rolls right, throws left. Run right , run left. Good receivers. Not sure about their depth. Looks like several players might go both ways. Matt - Do you go to Texas Tech ? Not exactly...they take what you give them. Load up against the pass they run load up against the run they pass. A lot of misdirection with ATHLETIC lineman.

We've all done our research Tivy guys...we've just got that much confidence in our team. May be misplaced but we've been watching it from these guys for 13 years with this coach and we know when we've got a special team.

Actually the power ranking predictor/simulator that's on HSsports.net or something like that has this game ending in a 33-33 tie. You can pick teams and they'll run a sim game based on some sort of Nielsen type ratings. Take me awhile to find it again but I'm sure someone knows where it is.

LOL, if you buy a soda, that will effectively quadruple the GDP up there in K-Ville. As far as beating L-Town, it would be closer than 28-6, BUT, if the Raiders didn't pay attention the 'cats might sneak past them. They actually have probably more full time two way players than Lumberton, although not by much. L-Town is planning on sneaking over there to the Houston Area next year and suprising someone in Purple . I would be happy to show up in a purple shirt or even a red shirt right in the middle of the sea of purple and cheer your boys on with you if I could get the time to get over there. That's the bad thing about the deep part of the play offs, they keep moving further and further away. That is true, they are getting further away. Offers on the table...you decide you're gonna take it and I'll pm you my cell number. You can wear the red shirt and I'll bring you a purple jacket to throw over the top to the "L-Town Raiders" stay closer to the heart. Next year probably a good year to get one over 'dem broncs. Breaking in a new QB and losing a great playmaker will hurt most teams. Just a hunch that Stewart still gets them to the playoffs...even with the watered down 4 team format. 13 straight and a few years in the 2 team format.

Wow, the first predictions I'v actually seen for TIVY and a 3 man sweep. Dayton defense still gets no respect....can't figure that one out. It's going to take a defensive stop or two and in that case I like Tivy. It's not like their defense has given up 200 points more than the other one...I like them better. Let's see...Ravens D or Lions D....I'll take the Lions straight up and in a hurry. Sorry folks, Dayton has trouble with the pass at times but if it's going to be which defense wins this game for their team, I'm picking Dayton's D against any of the remaining teams sans Everman.

Honestly Breezy I think that's in the realm of possibility. FW could win this in a close game but won't blow LT out. LT has the potential to drop a 40 point win. I know y'all are tired of hearing it, I just think you'll come away from this game really impressed with LT and with the feeling that there's no shame in losing to a team this good. IMO.

A dissenting view...interesting. Someone's got to beat the champ to be the champ...if Friendswood beats Lake Travis they become my pick to win it all. To have made it this far PROVES any of the four remaining teams can win it. I still think LT beats Friendswood in a shootout 52-38 and moves on to the championship.

It won't matter who Lake Travis is playing...Copperas Cove, Katy, Texas A&M...alright maybe a little much there.
