Look at the play on Toup's website and I think you'll see what I mean. 50 or 60 yard td pass in the boxscore...but then you watch the play and see that it was actually a badly thrown ball where AJ had to wait for a good half second and the DB almost makes the play. He then jukes the next guy so bad he just flat falls down and takes it "to da house." I'm worried about better teams taking that one the other way.

Some of us just don't blindly think that "our" quarterback is the best around because he has great stats. Yes, he's really good, best in SETX...not so sure. He's got a lot of talent around him including the best player that I've seen in SETX in AJ Dugat. We're just noting he's awfully inconsistent on passes of 10+ yards. Are we complaining that we have him...nope. Do we support our team...yep. Are we a better team without him...nope. Can we be fans and still make objective observations...yep. I just don't think it's too lofty to expect your QB to not overthrow a receiver who's 10 yards past the nearest defender especially if he's the "best" in SETX. Bet I cheer just as loudly when he scores a touchdown as anyone else.

dayton didn't you have alittle trouble this summer, sounds like you had a little problem also. Yep sure did...suspended for the season...5 defensive starters. Yet still district champions...how's that for a message? Not sure if you can question the commitment problem......... Because we let our kids off easy??....yeah you're right because we had kids suspended we shouldn't be able to say that skipping practice shows a lack of commitment to the team. Nice logic...my 3 year old thinks that's ignorant.

Coaches I played for would be AT LEAST a one game suspension in high school but that would have probably netted you 3 or 4 from my college coach. Got me... I am a longhorn fan and that game hurt. Don't know anything about Everman I am assuming houston area ? I pull for underdogs when 2 local teams are playing but always pull for area teams in playoffs . Yall are usually one of the last teams in and I don't see any reason why that would change this year ( if you dont believe me ask your fans ;D). 20-4A in my opinion is down this year but who knows. I'm thinking more centex? Just southwest of Ft. Worth.

Friendswood never sticks in the craw because it's not a district game. Of course I'd like to see them every game but I'd rather see them try new things and work out the kinks prior to district. Plus, Friendswood throws everything at you...play action, flea flickers, reverse...they're a good prep game. They always seem to have our number in early season action as well. Lake Travis would have been great to beat but since we'd never been that far, I think there was some "deer in the headlights" involved. I would have liked to play them again because it should have been a much closer game that could have gone either way. Call me crazy, but we'd rather beat the teams closer to home that we play (at the time) every year.

This PN-G grad would love for Dayton to take on Lumberton at the Reservation!!! Would it be standard protocol for Coach Stewart to get with the Livingston and Lumberton coaches before the game to select stadiums??? I also think Dayton will want this game to be played on turf. I think that's what you meant to say. I'd love to see this game played at the reservation...knowing PN-G's fans, I wouldn't be shocked if 10,000 of them didn't show up for the game as well. It is standard protocol for the teams to decide which stadium they'll play at before the previous week's games are finished. If they can't agree then there's a coin flip and the winner chooses the stadium (for the later rounds). Bi-District I think the higher seed gets to choose the stadium.

Your right if it's just a cold but if it requires a doctor's attention like the flu you don't want to lose a whole team down with it. I've seen coaches let players go home hoping thay would be well enough to play by game day. Yeah, the illness was always case by case I guess but you had better show up regardless.

First of all you dont have to buy a ticket to get into a strip club you just pay a cover charge and that is definitely not the same thing. I didnt say what they did was completely right of them i said its a terrible reason to suspend them the entire game. A quarter or 2 is plenty. Also, dont say they let their team down by missing 1 practice. You know as well as i do the other kids on that team prolyl werent bothered by them not being. They all went out and practiced and did what they were supposed to without losing any sleep over these 2 missing 1 practice. This is getting blown out of proportion Thanks for the overanalysis of the metaphor; obviously I'm don't quite have the knowledge you do when it comes to exotic dancing. They did let their team down by missing ONE practice. They've got practice Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with a Thursday walkthrough and a Friday game. Hence, they missed 1/3 of the practices for their upcoming game. I'm sure the coach (if he's any good anyway) has been preaching all year about commitment to the team (because frankly commitment is what it takes to win) so I'm sure he'll just turn a blind eye when two players show an egregious lack of commitment to the team.

Isn't that life lesson being taught right now? I think you've left the infield on this one unless you've got more information then we do. Still can't see how you can call the parents out on this one.
