Tim Cude of Bridge City finished 3rd in the 3200. Also the BC 4x400 team qualified as the 3rd seed in the finals running a season best 3:26. Surprisingly the West Orane 4x400 team did not qualify for the finals running a 3:37. -
That was easily the fastest 800 I have ever seen in person. The guy from the Woodlands came through the 400 in 52. Krautz from Nederland hung right there with the pack, it was insane. Also a huge congrats to Kirby Shepherd from Bridge City. He has kind of flown under the radar behind Tim and Ryan, but he ran a 4:34 in the 1600 last night AS A FRESHMAN!!!

Which Astros bullpen would you rather have?
cardinalcc replied to bobcatfan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I would rather have Lidge and Qualls at the end of the game instead of Valverde and Villareal/Brocail. There is just something with Valverde that I don't quite like. -
Ok thanks a lot.

Does anyone have directions to the field?

*BC vs. Silsbee/4-1 BC Wins/Comments*
cardinalcc replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
It cant be 3-3. I left after 5 and it was 4-1 BC. -
In the 3A district, BC has the fastest long and mid distance guys, their sophmore has run a 10:08in the 3200.In the 1600, they have 4:37,4:38,and 4:45. They also have 2:00 and 2:04 800 runners. The guy that has ran 2:00 has also ran a 50.8 and beat the WOS 400 runner at silsbee. I dont know if hes the leader in that event but it will be a good race between the two.

If you are talking about the boys, Bridge City won the title last year and have won it like 6 in a row and 7 out of the last 8 years. They might not win it again this year but I would say that until they are beaten, they shouldn't be counted out.

Two years ago there was a great battle in the 1600 between Aaron Brannen of Bridge City and Drew Bean of Little Cypress-Mauriceville at the Bobcat Relays. They were neck and neck the entire race. Aaron won with a 4:21 and Drew finished right behind him in 4:22. It was awesome to watch, probably 2 of the fastest times in the 1600 run in this area.
