The HJ Holiday Classic tournament is one of the best around the State. Teams from all over, Basketball atmosphere, Great food, and the best coaches in the state hosting.

Thank You! I am a retired ref! I love yelling at the refs as much as the next person. I just want to make sure that everyone knows that these guys go out and give a lot of there time for very little money. But 99.9 % of the time what everyone is yelling at the ref for, shows up on the film as a good call that could only be made by that ref because he was doing his job and was in the right position to make the call. I will be the first to admit that REFS make mistakes. They are human! There training consist of joining the chapter, then getting thrown into a Jr High game with some guy who is still learning himself because all of the old experienced officials can't handle calling games 3 nights some times 4 a week because there old bodies can not handle it.

Its funny how all you old people with bad eye sight can see more about what goes on on the field from the top of the stands than the refs can see 10 yards away. Learn the rules. The State of Texas is short of officials because everyone that knows everything about football is sitting in the stands trying to figure out what the heck is going on. If you think you can do a better job, the South East Texas Chapter of Football Officials meets every Monday night at the IBEW hall in Beaumont TX. Why don't you show up and join. That way we can find out just how good your eye sight is.

HJ program is on the mend from the past few years and it shows. Lots of talent, speed, and size coming up through the program.

I saw Cleveland against HJ. Cleveland takes this district. But watch out for Tarkington Friday night, they are just looking to put a upset on somebody. Cleveland in a hard fought matchup. Cleveland 35 Tarkington 24

I was at OF last night for the 7th and 8th grade game. The field was damp, but no standing water. Field was in good shape. Should be dried out by tonight with the north wind blowing. GO HAWKS!

Legacy is a 3a Christian School, WO Start is a 3a school and Kingwood is 4a. All three of these schools will bring it to the court. But I still say HJ takes this Tournament.

Homecoming, 50th anniversary, or just because, OF can't catch Jacoby down the sidelines and thats where he will be all night long, up and down the sidelines from endzone to endzone.

Nederland shows up at the Babe with Little Earl Campbell and runs the jags up and down the field till their tongues are dragging! PNG gets robbed by the Pirates! Livingston has a good practice against the Bad News Bears! L-Train is derailed by Ozen as they find a way to win again!

HJ meets Cleveland and gets the win after losing to them Pre-Ike. HJ gets revenge!

They will beat OF and HF. They will lose to WOS but I predict it not to be as bad as it has been the last three years. Silsbee will be tough, HJ will lose if Silsbee Defence contains the running game as they did against WOS friday night. HJ does not make it past the first round, don't have time for it, Basketball will be starting and we will be dominating the court once again.

All of you not picking Nederland in the top 4 in 20-4a, would you please be kind enough to tell me why you think nederland is going to lose the next 4 games. Coach Chris Stump is the right man for the job. He will turn that program around and get it back on its feet. Give him a little time. That team has been through a lot this year.
