Your comments about the kids altercation is way out of line w/the forum rules.Those 5 kids missed 16 games incl.the 2008 state title game.Would having them(2 all-dist soph)made a differance?We will never know but know this;The kids all know rule violations @ Dayton does not come w/o penalties.

Beginning to show in the surf so if you got a generator and floodlights I'd head to Rollover and fish @ night just ahead and behind a tide change.Winds have laid some and water should green up a bit.Trout should be hungry and full of eggs getting ready for the spawn.Birds are working in east bay for boaters mainly over the deeper reefs.My son recently May 18 went on a guided trip w/2 others to Calcashieu Lake and limited out on specks to 24"by 10:00 am throwing margarita plastics chasing birds diving on lots of shrimp.Guides remarked the reds have not yet made their move.

Sounds like great fun but already have plans.Is this park named after the same Cormier family w/oil related services,hardware,oil museum.Those and their employees are fine folks.It's been awhile,since the mid 80's since I sold them oil tools,pumping units/equipment and my father worked @ the Ace Hdwe.If my plans cancel I'd love to come and visit again.

My hope for BH and Coach Gage's staff he can build a solid district contending team within 2 years.If he can't I can only imagine some would've liked to recind their comments about the former coach.The addition of Lee makes 19-4A a bit tuffer and soon enuff King @ North Forrest will field better teams.Crisis in the NF ISD will get better and w/their numbers I'd expect them to rebound pretty soon and contend for a playoff spot.I don't know where the district line ends between King and Summer Creek so I'm guessing King lost some atheletes similar to Sterling/GCM.

The Question?Why?Bronco AD/HC Jerry Stewart and coaching staff have instilled hard work ethic,evaluated the talent they have and the youth and even the alumni he never coached wish they could play under his guidance.Successful as he's been @ Dayton now in his 15 th year,Coach Stewart led Clear Creek to it's 1st dist title and before that led Cleburne deep in the playoffs several times.To follow his success you only have to look close how far in the playoffs the teams that beat Dayton went.That's were the answer lies.

Dayton has wanted to avenge the 8-7 loss in 2007 early @ Lumberton.Mine actually would be Sulphur Springs 2008 state title game in the Alamodome so we could've moved A.J into the position Peyton Ploch was to recieve 7 pooch kicks.Record 4A div 2 title game-117 tot.points scored.69-48 Final-1,200 + yds total offense.

I believe Bronco RB/LB #22 Delasbour is now ready to break out.Probably the fastest guy on the team has had 2 yrs.grooming to learn the offense and take a hit as he played well last year as soph.linebacker.We've seen glimpes of greatness since his freshman year.If he gets through the D line its a foot race most defenders will lose.

Yep way early but on the horizon it's possible for Dayton(knocked @ door past 3 years) to have another shot w/maybe the fastest team ever.Recent track all-time school records fell in sprint relays w/football lettermen toting the baton.

They certainly have showed up lately around frozen point @Anahuac Nat.Wildlife Refruge.I've fished there hundreds of times without ever seeing a TPWD Warden but they're always @ Ft.Anahuac Park.

I'm thinking back since the topic went away for records and my guess would go to my birthplace-2nd grade Liberty Panthers.

Coach Stewart @Dayton-1996 thru 2009-14 straight playoff appearances-re-alignment 06-07 sent em packing to the Golden Triangle dist.for 2 years & they won dist.both yrs.convincingly then 07-08-09 they go semi's-finals-quarter finals and in 08 the yr.they help set a 4A scoring record for a title game in the Alamodome vs.Sulp.Springs Coach Stewart kicked 5 defensive starters(2 were all-dist the yr.before)off the team for a altercation of team rules before gm.#1-2010 team is scheduled for the tuffest pre-dist games in school history.Broncos are one of the better teams lately and have made their mark for 3 straight yrs.w/less than 21 seniors each year.Dayton has never won a state title but lately have been catching up in the win/loss column w/the WOS/Newton teams who have 2 of the premier coaching staff's/teams around.To make this topic fair it Should read LATELY playing Lake Travis-Suph.Springs-Brenham(2 state titles back/back-state title-state finalist.

Seeing the new reservation during the Texas City game and I was impressed so much @ what the Indians were doing I left @ halftime to drive to Lumberton to catch the 2nd half of the Silsbee game.You're suppossed to be good w/43 seniors-18 jrs=61 players -Dayton had a total 41-19 sen.14 jrs.7 soph.1 fresh.Png returns 18 deep playoff players so we'll see but they most definately got a mighty fine program w/top notch friendly fans.If there is any area needing some underclassmen to step it up I think it will be defensively.Should be interesting race once again but you cannot argue w/success from the likes of Central-PNG-Nederland almost always has great teams.LCM is building and improving-Lumberton has to improve the rushing and replace Beard who was the defensive mainstay-So that's how I got em w/LCM possibly sneaking in the 3rd spot.

An easy fix years ago would have been to pile granite rock out into the gulf on both sides of the pass approx.300 yds.Look at the N.Jetty and what granite rock has done to protect the beach/property.You can wade a long way to get to waist deep water in the Bolivar pocket from the sand continually building up.I think it's all baloney and the Corps of Engineers has allowed the pass to get in real bad shape and has been a danger for people enjoying the recreation for many years.Just how far does $ go-remember years ago of talk of building a huge bridge between Bolivar/Galveston because the ferry system costs over 20 years could have paid for it.I don't recall any hollering to close San Luis Pass.If it wasn't for silt/trash from the currents from the mighty Mississippi river flowing to our area by sea currents our beaches would be like Ala.Fla.where you walk out 20 yds.and it's almost over your head.It's really hard for me to Swallow all the bullshit thrown at the sportsman.Many years ago a hurricane took out the highway from High Island towards Sabine Pass and still has never been repaired.Used to take my kids down to the Cow Pens/Salt Cedars and surf fish for big reds for years east of High Island and I miss that, now catch 1 bigen your done.Then they throw out new limits to protect flounder populations and nobody goes after them like there once was,and where have all the huge golden croaker over 1 lb.gone and the once strong croaker run has disappeared from the days of old.If it's done for shipping/industry it's done right-for the outdoorsmen they don't care.Remember how the hurricane tore up the public camping/boat ramps on Sam Rayburn and many were closed a long time.Bend over from the waist-look back and up as far as you can and kiss it bye-bye little by little.Not 1 pier left out into the gulf,but heard you could fish the pier at Seawolf Park for a fee of 12.00
