Five playoff contenders from 2009 to get ready for District-Awesome pics Coach Stewart,Thanks.

And if the non-district Dayton schedule isn't impressive enough add to this 2 scrimmages @Bronco stadium vs.WOS and Nederland.Now that's a super tuff pre-dist set of 5 match-ups.

Finally Dayton gets to see Diggs @Angleton who I think loses like 28 seniors from the 09 squad.Gotta love Coach Stewart's ability to schedule tougher opponents to evaluate his team.Love it now who do we scrimmage?Will the Broncos still play Austin LBJ-wk.#10 and will it be in Dayton this year since we traveled there last year?

Congrads to all the Broncos going to play and learn in their next chapter of their life.Far as football talent Coach Stewart and staff have a knack for uncovering gems that shine under the light when polished up a bit.Again in 2010 you'll see some hopefuls transformed into gems that are willing to work hard and be taught.

As much as I'd like to believe you guy's it's really all about marketing that's just as bad as DCTF and others.A number of years ago we had the Houston Post that had alot more HS sports coverage than all the others combined.Now the Hearst family owns the Houston Chronicle and the baby sister paper The Beaumont Enterprize.Hearst Corp.was losing market share to the Post so Football and other HS Sports got coverage to try to regain the lead in marketing locally and as soon as the Houston Post was no longer on the newstands the wide coverage dwindled away w/exception of the Obituary column.That's the real logic and the truth Believe It or Not.

Overall this year how many posters think that the officiating this year compared to prior years was alot worse?I know if I'd been doing a decent job for 20 yrs.or so and somebody was trying to take over and change the way we were doing our job we probably would make many mistakes by not being focused.Yep HS Football is over BUT what will 2010 bring along w/new district changes and if the UIL has it's way changing the rules for officials.I think there is alot of posters other than myself that think the calls or non-calls were less than satisfactory in 2009.Tell us what you think about it.The number one area I noticed the most mistakes was were the ball was spotted down.Some calls were 3-4 yds.off.

When that comes out we'll all see if SETX awards are non-biased.So far all the papers awards are biased to the Bmt.-Pt.Arth-Orange County teams.No pun intended for any of the players already nominated.Get this one somewhat better overall for all the players.

One of the best games I've seen was the 1998 Dayton vs.PNG @ Lamar University in Beaumont.Both teams were loaded w/talent that year.

1998 Dayton Broncos who lost 20-14 to La Marque in the Astrodome in the regionals,then the Coogs beat a good Silsbee squad,Smithson Valley squad and lost the state title to Stephenville.The 2007 Bronco team that lost in the semi-finals to eventual state title winner Lake Travis led by QB Garret Gilbert.The 2008 Bronco team led by QB Cody Green(QB Nebraska)A.J Dugat ret.specialist/rb/wr(WR-Houston Cougars)9 graduating seniors signed or walk-ons on college teams,helped set the all-time scoring record for 11 man 4A title game w/Sulphur Springs w/total points of 118,69-49 final.2009 Broncos who led Brenham thru 3 1/2 qtrs.after injuries to all-state def.tackle Tony Hill in the 1st qtr.and Peyton Ploch in the 3rd qtr.in the Quarterfinal game @ Rhodes stadium in Katy.Brenham then beat Tivy then lost the title game to state champion Aledo late in the 4th qtr.

Tyrik Rollinson is on the Auburn Tiger team.

As I recall the 2008 season-Cody Green senior QB @ Dayton w/5,000 + yards passing/rushing his senior year and did not make all-state.Go figure he's already playing QB some @Nebraska.If you remember the QB talent was big in 08 so not making doesn't mean squat.

2 time all-state defensive tackle Tony Hill-Dayton.Wishing him well w/surgery and a speedy recovery.Injured late in the 1st qtr.against Brenham.What a career for the Broncos w/semi finals-finals-quarterfinals appearances-He will be long remembered by Bronco faithful.Good Luck @ the next level ;)

Coach Stewart is all about CLASS and the kids.Had a great conversation w/him for 30 min.this evening.What a great man.He is currently helping-guiding and being not just any old coach but is helping take care of a couple of soph.kids without homes @ present.I ask him if I could help in any way to let me know.Thought maybe some of us could get together some Christmas cheer to help out.PM Me if you want to do something.

Broncos will play Ft.Bend Elkins Knights(8-3  3-1 dist.)Game #1 next year instead of Bay City-Elkins graduates 30 seniors and will return 21 jrs-10 soph.Not sure what field they'll play at yet.
