Rollover update;Thurs.night July 9,2009-There along w/30 others w/generators and 1,000 watt + spotlights.Around 10:00 pm on gulf side w/sandy water the trout bite started slow then picked up fast paced about 2:00-3:00 am.Most we caught (28) just a 1/2 in.short but we managed 7 keeper specks-5 nice sand trout fishing tandem wh.red tail little fishes just under the surface.Of note on the east side near the end of the concrete and beyond the rocks about 7 guys and gals were killin em all night w/some large ones in the mix.Saw them land 10 keepers in less than 5 min.Green water lurked just out 200 yds.so with the right wind and greener water look for a big bite a few hrs.before and after a tide change.We saw no fishermen on the bay side and we left for home at 3:45 am July 10 am.Locals said they had been doing well as Wed.7-8-09 night a group of 3 limited out on specks w/sand trout inbetween.

;D If this site had been around back in the day when the Hill was great there would have been posting like PNG-NED.fans do.Broncos got themselves a winner in Stewart and since oh well ya'll know the story.Then Dayton got moved into 20-4A for 2 years and some Daytonites were heard saying how could we win over in such a strong evenly matched bunch of opponents-The answer is and was hard work ethics and determination along w/recognizing the talent pool and putting the right people in the right places.Broncos cannot boast of a state chamionship yet but that is the present goal the boys are working toward.If you put up over 1,000 pts. in last 2 years your headed in the right direction.

;D With new schools coming into 4A from Humble/Baytown area and realignment on the horizon you may get Dayton back in the future.Always is not fitting to Ned's offense.Remember 07 in your house.But the Broncos earned that one from earlier spankings from Dem Dogs.

Broncos go undefeated into the 09 playoffs.Beaumont Prize gives them coverage on Sat.mornings.Liberty County comes out in force to follow Dayton's 09 ride and sets new attendance records.Now there is a prediction to chew on.

;D Just maybe a tad bit of Mercy about the middle of the 3rd quarter.Last years loss WAS the turning point for Cody and the Broncos.We will see what Cron.com has to say about this one.Should be standing room only.

At RB look out for Xavier Franks MVP at Dayton w/Broncos speed and size 09 and the defense may be the best team ever.I wished we could have gotten that 10th game against Sulphur Springs instead of Austin LBJ just for a little payback.

That is really something Frank's has to do both offense and defense here at Dayton.Hope that it turns out he does better than A.J but still there hasn't been a more exciting player to watch in Broncoland that I can remember on both sides of the ball.If there is a weakness I would tend to think it would be the kicking game.What grade is that Carranco kid?

Daytonites said the same thing early last year.Broncos lost alot of talent at the end of 07 and were shocked to lose 5 defensive starters before game 1 in 08-Cody green's leg injury early in 07 had some doubtful Bronco faithful wondering how he would perform after another hurricane transfer Gregory Charles stepped in at qb and led the 07 Broncos real deep in the playoffs-Answer is and still is Coach Stewart's machine building parts inventory of players.With a couple of 07 defensive starters back on the team w/the 08 state finalists returning players along w/a very talented underclass group from 08 look for 09 Dayton Broncos to be maybe one of the best teams in class 4A in this area.Success brings up the talent .Same for every team that has a successful program.At Dayton football is #1 always.

Gotta go with the purple in this one.New winning streak starts at reservation.

Friendswood vs.Dayton

So we happen to lose to Friendswood again.The real deal is will the Mustangs make the playoffs in 09.I see Friendswood struggling for maybe the 4th spot as several of your dist.foes took you to the wire last year and look to be tougher this year.Angleton will be the top dog over there.

;D And to play some football.We have played the game knock-knock in 07-08 deep playoff runs.Is 09 the team to win it all?Should be very interesting if some younger talent again gets some quality playing time like last years team did in those lopsided games.Heck Crosby only put up 24 pts.in the last 4 years-while the Broncos put 155 pts on them.

Interesting that talk would come from the Hill.Broncos were going to be nasty before this.Heck did anybody email Dave Campbell's Magazine?As pre-season he picked Dayton in the 09 semi-finals.Welcome aboard Frank's.I sure miss that name of a famous eating place once in Dayton.

I have had some success in the hot summer flipping jigs w/pork trailer SLOWWWWWWW in thick mat hydrilla near a creek channel.As for color my favorite is and has been black/blue but others will work 1/2-3/4 oz.Bass experts claim past 10' all colors look dark in the bass's eyes,but you gotta almost hit them in the head at times and the bite will be very soft so a sensitive heavy rod w/backbone will help-20 lb/line minimum w/good abrasive qualities.Good luck and happy fishing.

They say Defense wins championships.You just never know how well and quick the atheletes (underclassmen) will perform.Looks like on the defensive side the Broncos have lots of starters w/deep playoff exp.and should be possibly one of the best ever.I will tend to BELIEVE holes will be filled pretty well by the start of District play.I think we will see a more running type Bronco attack than last years squad.Defense should keep the purple/white in pretty good field position.About the kicking game any heads-up on the young Carranco kicker?As for Crosby-same as last few years where Dayton Defense stopped them alot from scoring.Should Delasbour have a real good year in 09 look out the next 2 years (Sophomore)this year.Loads of talent in DA House at DHS moving up.Winning traditions keep bringing in the talent.Remember last year 08 younger players got quality time in alot of lopsided victories.We did not get to see alot more scoring as starters got some sideline time.Broncos in 08 had between 7-14 less seniors than almost every team they faced in their playoff run.

That road trip brings back memories when Dayton played Manor.That was close to Austin.

West Orange Stark Mustangs scrimmaging Dayton Broncos-Dave Campbell's #1 pick 3A Div.2-Runner up 4A Div 2 right out the gate-can't wait to see this matchup again.

Some all district sophomores on defense return as seniors after a altercation that removed 5 def.starters before game 1 in 08 to deepen the already talented Dayton Bronco defense in 09.Throw in a talented JV squad that dominated 19-4A in 08,even after Stewart moved Delasbour the freshman to varsity where he shined in a reserve limited roll as running back.He now has beef w/lots speed as a sophomore.The real differance maker has always been Coach Stewart and staff.

Does Coach Stewart take the Broncos back to back to back to the Semi-finals in 09.I do not underestimate Dayton till proven otherwise.Dave Campbell has them there in 09 but some shoes have to be filled on offense-defense looks to be a plus with speed and size.Underclassmen were real good in 08 a plus for Dayton.

Should be interesting game that lots of football fans will be watching.Both teams went far in 08-we will see how well they bounce back from graduation.2 great coaching staff's to boot.Broncos & Mustangs a great matchup.

Dayton fills the Barbers Hill stadium-Last year some handicap folks went back home.If you get there early for a seat you cannot hardly get up and down for concessions or restroom call-2 isles up and down.Bronco fans would fill the home side.Your excuses are not valid for visitor seating period for 4A class school.

Exactly-Like to see how they can play without him.Once in a blue moon a great one leads a team to the ultimate state title game.But if you still put up over 50 and lose that's hard to swallow.Bronco "D" should be better.Twice we knocked and ran into Gilbert-Rollins two of the better passing QB's in 4A in a long time.Would the early dismissal of those defensive players who we removed had made a differance?probably but coach made the right call w/his action.

Worst stadium to visit hands down is Barbers Hill.Not enough seating-2 isles-no handicap seating for football-Best of the Best schools,great tradition,pride,but stadium outdated years ago.
