Gotta Believe the Broncos will find enough horsepower on offense for 14 straight playoff years.Defense looks to be solid.Can't doubt Stewart's engine re-building.Will have a few losses early just like the other great years but will be a contender of sort in 19-4A.Success brings more kiddos out to play.Early experiance this year pays dividends next.Look for #65 a soph.to step-up big in 2009 as a jr.on the line.

On this topic I would pick Cody Green on the basis he would be quick to learn offensive plays and read defenses-He is a scholar student graduating early and will arrive at Nebraska Jan.15.Second he already has the size and is a dual threat QB.Cody as a soph.in 2006 was one of the state's most scouted atheletes w/1,400 yds=22 tds.and he missed last year with a leg injury.GG is not on this post so I cannot pick him but if he were it would be shoein for sure.

What does that mean Wildcat.There is some smaller 3A schools that can beat some large 4A schools.It has always been big against little in enrollment in the past.The great teams from WOS never had alot to pick from but won many titles along the way.I can see the future of schools going to Consolidation with 2 schools only miles apart.

Example:Former WOS player(alumni) shows off back to back gold rings-Say for 2 undefeated seasons and two state titles- A player in this new system says we were 3-7 in district and won the state title,see my ring?The former 2 time undefeated state champ say's BIG DEAL-That's CHUMP DUDE-THIS WAS ONLY USED AS A EXAMPLE NO DISRESPECT AT ALL FOR WOS.

This system says to me:Let's just play good enough to win 4th place in district,we can play alot of underclassmen and JV players and let them get lots of playing time,rest our starters for the playoff's so we will be healthy w/lots of depth.We can sneak in as the underdog as they do not have any real game film with our starters so we will have a advantage.

Well let's throw in 4 state championships-North Zone-South Zone-East Zone-West Zone-Put 4 teams from ea.dist in it.This system takes away from the previous winners their pride of being the best of the best.A sad day for former alumni that earned their spot in history as the UIL has Tarnished their trophies and rings in my opinion.

My stepson was home for Thanksgiving and gave thanks and props for the Broncos as he got to see all but the final 2 games before returning to Camp Taji,Iraq 12-11-08.He says CONGRADULATIONS BRONCOS.

Go back to rewarding the 2 best teams in each district even if it means creating a new 6A classification.Do not reward a 3rd and 4th place team in each district with a free playoff pass.A big thank you UIL should be coming from Sulphur Springs(3rd.place team)in the former system they would be playing basketball in November.

Dayton's field general Coach Jerry Stewart and all of his staff and players gave 110% all year delivered another undefeated dist.19-4A champion-Bi dist.champion-area champion-Quarter-finals champion-semi finals champion-and State finals(2nd in school history at Dayton-with the Colbert Tigers losing in 1962 to Taylor Pierce).I BELIEVE that Dayton has earned lots of respect for the last 13 straight years and that is a Tribute to all of the Dayton Coaching Staff for the extra effort and tireless hours of work they all have put in.We are truly BLESSED this Christmas season to have had the pleasure to witness lots of school history and the town spirit is still gleaming with pride that will remain in our hearts for years.Thanks for making this year so special as my stepson in Iraq wanted Bronco State finals gear for Christmas and Sports Depot And The Dayton Broncos made that a Reality.You have made us PROUD.

As far as the remarks about trailer parks in Dayton,I hope you never have back to back category 3 or 4 tornadoes up there in deep east texas as we have dealt w/Rita and Ike in 3 years.I hope you do not have to get FEMA help w/all the damage.Most schools in our area had schedule interuptions and stadium damages and alot of teams had to travel every week to play a football game so your remarks were way out of line bud.But from what I saw around the alamodome for housing makes me Thankful I own a dbl.wide on 17 ac.

I think we could have a player or two back for Dayton on defense that were juniors and were involved in the 5 player dismissle.Great bunch coming up.Broncos look good thru 2011 .

The last time Dayton went to the final game before 12-20-08 was in 1962 before intergration and the Colbert Tigers lost to Taylor Pierce.46 years since a title game.Makes for a great celebration if you ask me.Maybe we could do something in return for our graditude and enjoyment.Got any ideas?WE would need to act Quickly as some will be leaving .

;D Right here.You won-We lost-Congradulations.But our loss did not go without rewards.This team pulled together from a infraction during 2 a days where 5 defensive starters from last years semi-finals game were kicked off the team.What they accomplished made Bronco history 3 times.#1-won the 08 semi-finals #2 went to the state finals-#3 made part of history w/SS for 11 man state final game w/most points-most 1st downs-most offensive yards-most points scored at halftime.Every young future Bronco will remember this and it will be another building block for Dayton sports.We made some mistakes but still scored more points than any other playoff team did against SS.
