  1. she is doing a good job, but she needs her teamates to help a little more. she can't do it all by herself. she needs to get it through to her team that they are just as good with or without those three players. they helped a lot, but with them gone she needs other people to step up and take positive roles on the team. they are being given an oppurtunitty to show what they have. they should sieze that oppurtunity and let it take them to greater things.
  2. who then do you think could handle the weight of the game on their shoulders on that team?
  3. You put "Those three players are not that great." in the very first line of your reply. How do you expect that to be interpreted? You are talking about young girls that wear their hearts on their sleeves and are emotionally affected by every little bit of criticsm they get. You are getting pretty personal. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, no matter how different they are, but when you bring down somebody's self-esteem your opinion should be kept to yourself. Every parent thinks their child is a "little princess/superstar". Everyone should leave any kind of coaching to the coach. I know he makes mistakes, but I support him and he needs more people to stand by him.
  4. Who are you to say those players aren't great? Why do you think you get to talk bad about their players and coach? They put their uniforms on one leg at a time just like every other team. They have their high points and with that comes the low ones. The mistakes made right now will eventually make them stronger. That time will come when Nederland's players, parents, and fans give Coach Smith total authority over his own team. Too many people think they could do a better job. Coach Smith gets paid to coach so he needs to be able to do his job without people hassling him over every mistake he makes. He is human just like everyone else.
  5. I think Coach Smith is doing a great job. Too much pressure is put on him. People need to realize that everything isn't the coaches fault. The players have to pull through and do their part too. Until the players learn to put aside their differences and work together as a team they will struggle. The Nederland team has a losing mindset because of previous years. They are expected to fail just like the team last year and years prior. Coach Smith is doing all he can to boost their confidence, but something like that is very hard to change, especially for teenage girls. Nederland wasn't really struggling until they lost two of their better players for grades and another great player for an injury. This isn't the only reason Nederland is having trouble. Three players don't make a team, but the rest of the girls need to have it in their heads that winning is still possible without those three players. I think Nederland will have better luck this Friday against PNG, their rival.
