Clarify a couple of things, are you saying that a win for Spurger in this game will be because Deweyville had to get up too early and because the game is on Spurger's court, and the other is that "if" Kirbyville loses to Spurger, that it is because Kirbyville hasn't had enough practice and Spurger has been playing. If that's the case w/ Kirbyville in the Spurger Tourney, maybe Kirbyville should just sit this one out and practice. The way I look @ it is that Spurger's just giving them a few more games to play before they meet up w/ them in the tourney. By the way this young 50/50 Spurger team did walk away w/ the win against Deweyville, lot better showing for Spurger than in the Deweyville tourney. Spurger was up by 28 in the 3rd, starters got more time off than they normally do and bench got more playing time as needed. And still pulled the win!!!! Great job Spurger Pirates

truth or hogwash, let's see if we can get an honest answer from someone from Deweyville. Nothing against the Deweyville team, they are an O.K., competitive team to play, but surely not the best team that Spurger has played this season. I believe this is the worst game that Spurger has played this season, and I still didn't see them play to their potential tonight against Evadale. And now they will be facing Newton tomorrow ??? Not small minded @ all and not blaming the loss on the refs. But the calls sure seemed one sided to me. If Spurger would have played like I know they can, and got the calls that they got, then I would be blaming the loss on the refs. But they didn't, so I'm blaming the loss on the Spurger Pirates. Again I totally disagree with "any kind" of relative officiating a game, as I believe anyone else would!!!

If Spurger plays like last night, Evadale may have a shot @ a win. "I" beleive it was the worst game this season for Spurger, very off game for them. They played Cleveland this year and only lost by 8 and lost to Goodrich by 12 and these teams are extremely better than Deweyville. Different night, Different game, Different court, Different outcome!!!! Newton should power over Deweyville, maybe the ref that has a grandchild playing on the Deweyville team will not be officating this game like the Spurger/Deweyville game. This shouldn't even be allowed to happen.

Congrats Spurger, even thou it was a "L", Clevelands a much larger school, playing schools like this will only help come district 8)

Last year the score was 84-59, by 25 Don't have a clue of what Onalaska has Even w/the changes of team members and coaching, I'll still go w/ the Spurger by 15

Seems to me that you need to be a supporter of the Spurger team as a whole. You also need to realizes that it is not just the seniors that has brought this team this far. Yes, they have done a great job, but others have too; including #1, #12, #34, and #10 ( that young man is one bad a$$ point guard ) Go Spurger Pirates, let's go prove a point in Naco!!!

All I know is that I talked to court side and he has seen both teams play,(BS 3 times and Slocum 1 time) To him Slocum is pretty good but they are not in the same class as BS.Maybe it was a bad game when he watch Lovelady beat them.So I am going with BS by 10+ ;) ;)

Not many have been believers in Spurger all season. Stay a non-believer, BEENINNIKES & everyone else. These boys love being the underdog.

I can not believe the turn out at this game it was wonderful,I know the boys sure enjoy the big crowds these past couple of games. The boys started out a little slow on def. but made up for it in the second half. IMO this team is getting a little better each playoff game,and I think the two young guys (#10 & #12 ) are playing very well.What impressed me most was the play of #44 in the second half.This young man can take over a game just about when ever he wonts to. Great job Spurger keep it rolling!!
