So I guess you don't know that Central has three players in their starting line up over 6'5 and victory prep has a 6'9 kids that's ranked #2 in his class smh.

Ozen will beat Lakes by 30...as far as Atascosita you guys are caught up in the hype it's teams that Ozen would beat easily that Atascosita have played close i.e Kingwood. And Dekaney played them close as well and Ozen beat Dekaney easily. Like I said it's no team in the state that is going to beat Ozen just off guard play alone not happening.

All Ozen's coaching staff is going to do is slow Elkins down make them work on offense and defense just like they did last year.

Na I definitely think Boys & Comeaux along with Boyd, Comeaux & Hunter have to be in the convo for the best backcourt in the state the past two years and I'll take Boyd over both of them kids from Atascosita all they do is shoot 3's and I stick by what I said previously Ozen would likely beat Atascosita...but I'm watching the Elkins & Bush game and the more I watch the less I am impressed if these are the only teams in region 3 I like both Central & Ozen's way I like their chances especially Ozen's.

Maybe so but Bush size scares me a little I honestly don't think there's been a better backcourt in Texas the past two years than Ozen's but Elkins is right behind them for sure. However I don't think a team can beat Ozen purely off guard play alone only teams that I see that can give Ozen problems are teams with size and bush has some pretty good size and good guard play.

I've watched both teams play and their solid teams but nothing overly impressive from what I saw....Bush will give Ozen problems cause they some size and a couple D-1 players that can go they eerily similar to Central actually. On the other hand Elkins reminds me of Ozen they have EXTREMELY good guard play and lack size however I seen that they like to run a lot and they could lead to be a disaster for them against Central they don't have the size nor athleticism to run with Central. Bush presents a lot tougher match up for Ozen but if Ozen beats them I definitely wouldn't consider it an upset. Here's the game of Elkins & Bush check it out and give your own analysis,

Reading the comments from some of the guys who voted on this award explains why this award has been a joke for years and reasons why they should get people to vote who actually know about football. "How can you say a kid that had over 200 tackles shouldn't of been nominated for this award?" Well easy turn on the film...if what I saw on that kid hudl is the best defensive player in the area then man SETX is in bad shape. Furthermore lets talk about these 200 tackles that you guys love to speak of, if you don't know tackles ARE NOT official stats...so all tackles that were turned in for WRS nominations were from the coaching staffs of each player meaning no-one can confirm or deny them. So we have to look at those 200 tackles and take them with a grain of salt. I would think the people who's on the voting panel would know this kinda stuff smh. You would think these reporters would actually watch these kids before they make a vote instead of just looking at the stats. So if you turn on some film and watch Innis & Tims you'd know it was highway robbery, and I'll say it again from what I saw on the Tims kid hudl he shouldn't of been nominated for this award period. Innis is the 9th rated player in the country at his position along with being a 4 star recruit and going play for a premier big 12 school and you mean to tell me he isn't the best defense player in SETX? You've got to be kidding me man. As far as DT and JD goes DT is a much superior football player no matter how you try to slice it or dice it....he was the best offensive player in SETX and anybody with any sort of knowledge about football knows it. And another thing I want to point out you mean to tell me Devwah Whaley, Keith Corbin or Calvin Tyler weren't among the best players in setx? They weren't good enough to even be nominated for this award? You voters are terrible and have no knowledge of the game which is why this award is a joke. It's really a shame two kids weren't giving an award they very well deserved and worked hard for. Lastly I beg those of you guys thats saying I'm hating to watch the film without your homer glasses on and judge unbiasedly without including team accomplishments etc. And honestly tell me who the best players were. This award really a joke and extremely biased...if I'm a coach I would tell my players to boycott this award if nominated. I would suggest they not show up to the ceremony, until they there's a legit voting system in place I would suggest they don't attend. This is getting out of hand and has been going on for years.

I see you're misinformed this award goes to the best overall offensive & defensive player in the area judged solely on statistics...not by wins and losses or by who wins a state championship. At least thats how it's supposed to be judged.

Not sure but it was posted previously in the thread(I believe by aggie) that JD & DT sat out almost the same amount of games.

Not hating at all but a kid that put up 70 Td's and sat out almost just as many games as JD did and played less should've won this award easily....you mentioned the state championship game where the game was mostly dominated by the DEFENSE not the offense. JD did nothing special in the state championship game if we're being honest. No way JD was the best offensive player in the area, we need to get guys that actually have knowledge of the game to vote on these awards instead of a bunch of news guys that don't have a clue smh this award has been consistently robbing kids of being rewarded for the hard work they've put in all season it's a disgrace.

As you should know....those 200 tackles aren't verified by anyone other than the WOS coaches try again.
