Stop complaining about not having talent when you guys have been stealing some of the best players from PA every year.

Don't think you guts beat Ozen or Central in 2009 that was my senior year and I'm positive you guys didn't beat us. So unless you guys played Central 4 times that year thats wrong.

Someone check the validity of this list cause we definitely didn't lose to nederland 3 times let alone once.

DV so you're giving English the "great coach" card based on him turning two programs around from bad to mediocre? Seriously? Smh has he accomplished anything else as a head coach other than what I just mentioned above? If his qualifications meet the great coach standard than you have to give Saveat the great coach card then too right?

I just simply asked what made English such a great coach and no-one has still yet to give me an answer besides the fact he's had mediocre results at Vidor & Nederland...I never known a coached to be deemed great for having mediocre results it's just that simple. What have English done to be mentioned amongst the great coaches in the area? I'll go back to this questions for Brian English fans if you had to choose English or Savaet to coach your team who would you choose and why?

Lol I guess you didn't know that consistency mattered when judging a coach....English hasn't consistently beat Ozen or any other notable playoff teams during his coaching tenure....Just stating facts again, but of course you like to ignore those. Bouttee is considered a great coach because he won consistently everywhere he went. So come up with some nonsense so you can try to make a better case for English.

It was the year after perk graduated...now mention how Bouttee is like 1,000-3 head to head vs English. Also English fans like to say he don't have talent but that Vidor team was loaded that year I think they had a kid that was about 6'6 on that team that was shooting it light outs and a couple of other studs on the team. What English stans fail to mention though is how they still finished 3rd in district that year losing to Central twice and lost in the first or second round of the playoffs while Ozen went on to play in the regional finals. Lol funny how people never mention these things, like I said determining a great coach is based on results period. And to my knowledge English definitely doesn't have the resume a what I would personally consider a "GREAT". Now is he a "GOOD" yes but he's done nothing special to be in the same sentence with some of the great coaches that have been on the sidelines from the area lets stop this nonsense please. And if you disagree please give me FACTS on why you disagree.

I don't go off speculation I only talk facts...and you've still yet to answer the question what has english accomplished as a head basketball coach that make you guys consider him the best coach in the area? Regionals? State appearances? District titles? I mean he's been in the district for well over ten years I believe and have what two district titles? 1 regional appearance? I saw that you brought up his age well Boutte was 26 or 27 when he won his first state title so throw that excuse out the window. Let me ask you a question TxHoops if I gave you a resume with no name on it but those same accomplishments I just named would still consider that person a great coach? PS. I hear Westbrook is opening up this spring tell English to go apply then there will be no excuse about he has no talent. And speaking of talent he's been stealing some of the best players from PA for years and you mean to tell me he's still getting bounced out first & second round with them? Lol smh

You know whats funny about this post besides the fact that you're lying? I was actually the only Ozen supporter that publicly stated on this forum that Ozen wasn't a good team and that they wouldn't make a state run and many of you guys on here killed me for it.(Soulja & Mamba can attest to this) So when Ned beat Ozen that year I wasn't surprised at all, it was the same year they had lost to LCM in fact.

Lol they don't like when you're telling the truth....fact is I have friends from WOS I have nothing but respect for them but I gotta call a spade a spade. There has been players to play at WOS that has been bigger than the team so cut it the BS.

I also know a guy that started RB at WOS that consistently missed practice and did all kinds of other things that I won't mention that I'm sure were against WOS team policies and played the entire season lol so lets stop that WOS built on discipline crap now. Cause everybody know when Dion Beasley played he could've did whatever he wanted and WOS and wouldn't of been kicked off the team.

Would you consider him better than Saveat seeing that Saveat has more regional appearances and a state finals appearance and more playoff wins etc.

You should be more upset that Ozen was able to beat you guys after being down 18 lol that should tell you where your program is at even with your great coach on the sidelines lol

I heard from a few of the players that he wasn't very good and didn't care about basketball that much...idk how true it is but this is what I was told.

Wasn't better than bevil dion hypolite reggie etc...stop it not hard to have amazing stats with the weak schedule you guys play on top of that the amount of talent around him. Those QB's I named actually had to go through a gauntlet during the playoffs they weren't benefited by being able to play in a watered down small school region 3 in the playoffs. Like I said JD is a game manager at best.

I can name 3 QB's off the head that was better than JD...so if you believe that you're crazy. And trust me I've talked to many former players from WOS that agree with me.

Lmaoooo and this thread is getting even more ridiculous. Please stop gassing JD he does nothing special at the QB position....he's nothing more than a game manager with talent around him. Since he's the only QB to win state in recent years would you guys say he's better than Dion Beasley was at QB since he won state? Because with you guys logic that would be the case...I guess it's safe to say JD the best QB to come through WOS right?

All the post I keep seeing from WOS fans are about what JD's team accomplished...can somebody remind them that this is an individual award please.
