Yes they were by a long shot and guess what happened to them when they met some competition in the playoffs? Lost! Answer this question when is the last time WOS has made it to the state game? at least over 10 years ago and I'm not hating I'm just stating how I feel about WOS they're a great program don't get me wrong best in the area for sure but seems to be choke artist when they get deep in the playoffs

You gotta give wise his credit he teach these guys how to play in his system very well and don't limit their talents but one bad thing about wise is that he doesn't know when to slow the game down which cost him a state title last yr...another thing i notice is that their are only certain type of players that can play in wise's system rangy guys who can shoot the three or dunk the sterotypical big man could not play for wise because he run's so much but I love watching yates play unbelievable talent

Any word on how they'll do this yr? Any fire power coming? And I was looking for a schedule of theirs couldn't find one

It's basketball, sometimes that just happens. 4) Ever lose a parent the day before a title game? Well Yates had to deal with THAT obstacle as well...the sophomore guard #1, lost his grandmother (who was raising him) on Friday while in Austin....Not making excuses, just stating facts here.. 5) Did one of you guys say DISCIPLINE was an issue? I'd you did, I want to ask you one question...If you have seen Yates play, have you EVER seen those kids, talk back to a ref, talk smack to an opposing player, chest pump, throat slash, or ANY of those things that you often see undisciplined kids and teams do? I will answer for you. NOT EVER. Yates has possibly the MOST disciplined kids around.. Maybe this will help some of understand better, then again maybe it won't...I was just as shocked at the ending last night as most, but I do know that in these winner take all championship situations, things can and will happen....to blame the coach that has been there many times and understands also, is just not smart...Kimball was the defending state champion...they were a very good team...it took a wing and a prayer for them to beat Yates, and they got them both last night....Congrats to them and thanks to both teams for one of the best 4A finishes EVER. Its just this simple long as woodards the HC at LU they will never win no DISCIPLINE none what so ever they have more talent than sfa but get blewout every yr because they have no discipline

Want to give a special shout out to Yates and Kimball for putting on a great show great game fellas really good game this one will go down as one of the greats i promise you...I would like to touch on the fact that before this game i thought was a pretty good coach and I though yates was sort of an elite team so to speak but they in all honesty if you've got a good guards and a coach you can beat yates easily...this team seemed to be sort of wild and played with no structure or organization they have no half court offense besides just simply going one on one their whole game is just dunks and three pointers coach wise has got to give those guys more structure cause if you break the press you've got em beat but great game I've enjoyed watching you guys play this yr
