1. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! Second best high school game I've ever seen besides Ozen vs Hunstville 07 Yates style of play bit em...they should've slowed the game down and Yates would've won easily
 2. Do anyone know the channel of the game on direct tv?
 3. The key to beating Yates is making three's or jumpers when you break their press

 5. Alamo Heights wouldn't have made it out the first round of region 3
You have a point...but trying to put him in the category of a guy who had lots of hype coming out of middle(Decarlos Frank) and compare their high school careers its not even close...but good luck him in the future wish him well hopes he goes off to college and be a stud
Since you are not from Houston, I will not go off on the statement you made about 3rd ward having no talent...That's not true...although the neighborhood IS old, kids STILL come out of 3rd ward...However, the bulk of the kids in the basketball program do not live in 3rd ward, some of them do...I will say this once again...Wise does not HAVE to recruit....HISD is a school of choice district...Kids that live in HISD want to play at Yates right now...Let me ask you this...Do you think FB Travis recruits? They have a couple if stud kids that live NOWHERE NEAR Travis....Do you even know the coach's name? It's funny how people will jump on a school like Yates and their coach, without question, but the suburban schools get a pass...why is that?
BS DV Yates recruits and you know it
No, I happen to KNOW that they don't and you are all on here just guessing.... ::)....And HOPING you're correct...but you are sadly mistaken...STOP TRYING TO SCANDALIZE THEM...If you do not know, don't guess, then put it out as fact...
LISTEN CLOSELY DV....I KNOW FOR A FACT YATES RECRUITS!!!!! KEYWORD FACT
 12. I was having a discussion last night about this and found it interesting...So lets hear it fellas what do you guys think?

 14. It amazes me that silsbee lost a great coach in Travis and still continue to be a contender for the state title year in and year out...
 15. Closer than I thought congrats on great season though Ozen
 16.
Some one don't know much about nothing, what kind of sense would that make, to put some one in a head coach position that have never been their, not to mention replacing the only coach still playing in 20-4a ,and Beaumont for that matter, and heading to the regional tournament.Give it a rest, coach Saveat has done a good job with this team ,weather you like his coaching style or not.
Seeing that I played for coach saveat I think I would know that he is not the coach for Ozen
Ummmm who exactly did ozen beat that was worth anything? Humble? Nederland? Being from ozen I doubt it'll happen but it definitely needs to point blank

Come on I remember when I played Nederland wasn't even supposed to be in the same gym with us. To be honest only reason Ozen's still in the playoffs is because they finished third in their district and got an easy side of the bracket. It's no excuse for Ozen to be finishing 3rd in a weak district is inexcusable GET SAVEAT OUTTA THERE PLAIN AND SIMPLE. But on another note congrats fellows.
well the past few years Nederland has improved and shown that they more than deserve to be in the same gym as you. And that is what irritates you and others on this board. By the way, love screen name ozensfinest!!!
Na its definitely has nothing to do with Nederland I promise you...You don't go from dominating to finishing 3rd in district i think you might be giving Nederland too much credit cause you seen what happen the last two times they played
Go get Joubert
I see now what you are talking about now, Tebowing.  Although he is an Ozen fan and a fellow Beaumont guy, he has little or no credibility in the basketball or football forum for past comments that he's made.  So, some of his comments are overlooked by me.  with that being said.... Congratulations, Ozen.  Keep it going.  Way to represent in the regional tourney!  Keep executing late in the game, Ozen.  I liked what I saw last night!  Great run, Big Ned!
Credibility? For one I've palyed for Ozen basketball and Football not to mention I played football on the D1 level now I'd like to know what makes you such an expert soulja? and the proofs in the pudding look at the production of the program since BOU left plain and simple Ozen beating Nederland is SUPPOSED to happen plain and simple they shouldn't be on the floor with us and finishing 3rd in a weak 20-4a district is inexcusable Ozen didn't lost to central its first time in history after BOU left and it definitely isn't because central has more talent either Ozen NEEDS A NEW COACH if they ever plan on being a contender again....But good luck to my panthers
 21.
A large majority of schools recruit.  It happens.  I think Wise gets so much negative attention, because he puts up so many points on people.  HISD has open enrollment.  The great coach Boutte did recruit himself.  I know of few people he tried to get and they denied him.  I was offered a position on one of his Lincoln teams to get one of my friends to come over.  I was no where near the player of my friend, but he knew I could influence him.  Many people from the Port Arthur area know many kids zoned in the T.J. area played basketball at Lincoln.  No one questioned the Houston Bellaire team that was stacked with Emeka Okafor.  There were many players on that team from other areas in Houston.  When I was in high school I saw a lot of kids transfer into Silsbee to play basketball.  Also Nederland lands a lot of Port Arthur kids on it's Football team.  I know quite a few, this years tail back, who made the move due to a crowded back field at Memorial.  Does Wise recruit, probably so, just as many others do.  But I think he is just better than most.  Hell I know back in the late 90's, plenty of kids from Beaumont were playing ball at Hardin Jefferson.
Seeing that I've played for BOU i know things like this happen all the time not saying that BOU recruited just saying that these things happen in general especially at YATES LOL

If you are talking about Xavier Robertson, he DID move less than a mile from the school as a FRESHMAN, actually..How do I know? I recruited him when I coached Lamar State!! ;)...He was not recruited to go to Yates...try again....So if he moved near FB Hightower, and went there would you jump on the "he recruited him" bandwagon, and accuse Coach Green of recruiting, too? Probably not...People kill me when they DONT know that they DONT KNOW.. ::) ::)
You must've missed the fact that I said I knew him PERSONALLY huh DV? And another guy from Yates who've played on Yates state championship team (PEEWEEE) can confirm this also so what your saying is irrelevant DV.
