Going to Silsbee is not a good move for Lil C...if he was going to a program like WOS then cool here's the thing lets look at the history of Silsbee I think Hudson was the first D-1 football player from Silsbee in I'm not sure how long....we don't even have to do a comparing between Ozen and Silsbee on players going to college now do we? Any current players hold offers currently? Scouts will always come through Beaumont history speaks for itself. As I've said before not only leaving to go to a smaller classification but going play for a coach you know nothing about...what if the coach decides to throw the ball 50x a game? And please stop saying he's going for the academics the kid has like a 3.5 GPA he excels in the classroom. I'm going to support him either way but IMO it's not a good move. And for those of you saying Lil C is going to Silsbee sharing carries PUHLEASE!

He does but all smaller D-1's his dream is to go to UT though...

I know Lil C and he wants a big offer I know and talk to him often...don't help your chances by going play in a lower classification and playing against orangefield, HF, etc every week. Especially under a new HC & new offense etc.

I think it's a bad move for recruiting purposes however he's going to tear that district up.

You can bet your last dollar that if Boutte goes to WB they will be dominant....Central & Ozen will be a thing of the past all the big time basketball players will be enrolling at WB simple as that.

Good news for Silsbee I'm Calvin Tyler (Lil C) is moving to Silsbee after track season and will be suiting up for the Tigers next year.

Agree %100 Saveat has made a good hire in BISD since he hired Stump part of the reason is because he won't hire outside the area of SETX so it's just a recycling door with BISD coaching...Coaching is the biggest reason the Beaumont schools are underachieving and it won't change I've been saying it for a while that the coaching in SETX is rudimentary at best. But you can't really complain cause BISD/SETX don't really pay their coaches well especially when you're comparing the districts in the bigger cities, so you get what you pay for.

I'm missing your point when did I ever say he didn't break a rule and didn't need to be punished...I never said he shouldn't be punished however, do I blame he for what he done IF he indeed did do it? Well seeing that he graduated high school with almost a 4.0 GPA that wouldn't be an issue and with those grades he'd still get his school paid for as a normal student. The fact that you guys are trying to make it seem like Tony is a terrible kid because he "allegedly" had an impermissible benefit is whats sad. I never said it wasn't wrong but do I fault him for doing it IF he did take something? HELL NO! The NCAA, college coaches & Universities are making millions off these kids and not out there making plays and putting their bodies on the line. Not to mention the cut throat side of college ball where if a player isn't good enough to play at a school or he gets hurt he's not getting his scholarship renewed.

Cal has only been at a premier basketball program for 7 years now out of those 7 he's been to 4 finals fours and won a natty I think thats pretty good for a 7 year span with nothing but freshman...on the other hand Coach K has coached at Duke for almost forty years and have been a premier program for a LONG time....Now you think if Calapari coaches at Kentucky for 30 years he won't win 5 ships if not more? Come on this is common sense

I figured by the way you claim you know basketball that you'd know that WCS was hurt during the final four and Dakari had taken WCS starting at the end of the regular season lol but like I said carry on.... His best 3 players were freshman but his lone senior was named a AA that season yeah ok and still you're missing the point he's never won a championship with only freshman or even had a decent season with young teams as we saw this year as an example Cal wins with freshman and please they don't give me that the freshman he get are pro's because Coach K gets those same players it's a fact Cal gets the most out of his players for example, Ulis goes from being deemed a 4 year player at UK to now a 1st round draft pick that my friend is called coaching.... And yeah blame Calapari for a team getting placed on probation for a kid(Camby) taking money from an agent or blame Calapari for it being "alleged" that Derrick Rose had someone else take his SAT for him even though it was never found to be true and Cal was cleared of any wrong doings in both those situations but keep reaching lol
