It was a two point game at the half........They hit several threes and the rest were layups and free throws.....they are a solid club......The Lowe kid hurt us tonight. He was on from the three....we had some unneccessary turn overs and they capitalized on it.....
 2. Well, right now Silsbee holds a slim one game lead over HF.....
 3.

H-J needs someone to step up and lead this team! The coaches are not gonna be able to do it. The reason they lost to Silsbee is because nobody stepped up to lead and drive the team to victory, if they can do that they will be set! Also Anderson needs to come back in full force!
::) ::) ::) ::) Prudhomme had 22 and Persohn had a big 2nd half.  Easily the best half a HJ big man has had in years!!!!!  Anderson is having surgery on his ACL this week and his HS hoop career is over. As far as the coaches they are the best around.......you should know that!!!!!
I feel bad for the Anderson kid. Tough break.

I dont know the inter dwellings of Diboll so I dont know if they know this or not.  We will see.  Im going to smite you for that remark, so take that.
Diboll coach does a good job of preparing....but I've heard that that you have to beat  the score keeper, refs, and time keeper to have a chance at Jasper.  ;D

Each winning their home games. It will be hard to win at Hudson but we will see. The key is to contain the Davis kid....keep him to twenty or under.
Its my recollection that teams that win in Hudson are few and far between.
You can get homered over there...
 6.
They going to tie. Did Jasper get a new gym?
That gym is probally good for another fifty years...

 8.
I've seen alot of these clubs play and I would give the advantage to 24aa.While I think the district is down from what it has been the top 2 clubs,Ktz and EC are still better than their counterparts to the north.I think that when you line these 2 districts up Kountze and EC would be clear favorites and then you would have a dog fight for the 3rd spot.Anahuac is improving every time I see them but don't have quite the horses they had last year.CH may play a ball control type game but I don't think they would hold either of the top 2 clubs down south to 40 points.
whsalum, have seen CH play this year? I have seen them but I haven't seen Kountze....was wondering if you have seen both clubs.....your judgement is usually pretty solid...lol
 9. The size of the school and the size of the town is sometimes misleading.....Huntington has one stop light, post office and a grocery store. Blink and you will miss it. But the school district covers a lot of country side.....What is always strange is a town that has a lot of size and many businesses but a small school...
 10.
If im not mistaken, Kountze was a small 3A back then.  They have moved in and out of 3A and 2A and I am not sure about 1A.  They were a small 3A though, probably what put them in 2A when they changed enrollments a few years back.  I think it was 04 when they made the major enrollment changes.  I couldnt believe that Palestine and Jasper were 3A schools.  They have almost as many people as Lufkin.  Lufkin population is 30,000.  I think Jasper and Palestine hover around 20,000.  I know the size of town dosent correlate with enrollment but it seems as if it would have some effect.  And Crockett 2A with nearly 10,000 people in their town and Huntinting is a 3A with barely 2,000.  The numbers are just weird.  I know one think that hurts Huntington as far as enrollment is the Pride school.  I dont know if it would put them in 2A or not, but they include the Pride School in enrollment but no one in the Pride school can participate in Athletics.  That still dosent make since to me. As far as district 18-3A, I wonder who the biggest schools would be?  I would say Jasper, Center, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Central, and then Kirbyville.
The Pride school varies usually from 75-125....they have to count the numbers to get funding...there has been a few times that would have dropped them down if it hadn't been for Pride.
No, not particularly elegant but I will say this: The ETBB doth protest too much,(regarding my words) me thinks.  ;D
A lot of words come to mind when I think of Nash......but elegant is not one of them.. ;D
I "resemble" that remark!!!  What words do come to your mind?  Objective?  Broad minded? anti-Gestapo?  or would the words "grumpy old rednecked bas-ard" be more what you were thinking of?
LOL!...I must remain silent on this issue. ;D
 12. I haven't seen Kountze play this year but have seen the others in question.....Central Heights has the ability to do some damage if they play up to their ability...they protect the ball and pound it inside a lot. Sounds like some good basketball is on the way! Kountze is good year in and year out. Watched them at the Drum beat teams will twice their enrollment.
 13. What does Stark have this year? They usually put a good team on the floor.

 15. Could be, that the powers that be dont want the kids in other sport....UOS.
 16. etbb, you weren't around at this time, I think it was 72.........Huntington was the huge favorite to go to Austin. Thats when Arther Johnson and Brookshire were playing.....They played Garrison in a warm up game and beat them 40+..........Kennard upset Huntington and Garrison beat the team that beat Kennard. Garrison lost to Pottsboro in the championship game by one point!.....the playoffs aren't always fair...lol...  Most teams that get there have to be good and lucky and have some things go your way....
 17. There is some more 3A teams out there in reg 3 that can play......Mexia and LeVega to name a few.....I wouldn't pencil anyone in to Austin in any classification............
 18. Big game for the Red Devils tuesday. Hudson is tough at home but beatable.....
 19. This will be a close race. If you blow a game your supposed to win it will hurt.

Their football team got beat out fairly early this year....plenty of time to concentrate on bb....they have got to have some athletes there?... Kville didn't have a jv.
No JV @ A 3A School. :( :( :( :(
I think their jv is the varsity.
