1. Strange game. Neither team looked inspired. Girls had a district game away and no jv game and not a big croud........Huntington made a three with four seconds left in first half that never got put on the board....Big Sandy pressed very little and not at all when game was winding down. Didn't even intentionaly foul at the end of game......
 2. Big Sandy usually has a good group...haven't heard much about them this year?
 3. Three days earlier Henderson was playing fb.....
 4. I'm tired of watching Findley dunking off yates press....the press is getting yates beat......never thought I'd say that...lol

Wow...w three district teams ahead of them... Cant say that is a great rating..
i'd say it's pretty generous considering they're 12 games into the season without playing a team above 3A, or a quality opponent, for that matter.
They've played Hamshire Fannett 4 times 8)
Hamshire Fannett shouldn't have got in their way.... ;D
 6.
Hate to say it, but I've been on both sides. If you're winning by that much, the majority of the kids should have played. Some coaches play less kids, win big, and somehow fill their own ego!! Seen it too many times. Win yes, and let the other kids get some game time, confidence, and help them become motivated for the future. Sure parents don't get it most of the time. Bottom line is the coach will play who he thinks gives the TEAM a chance to win. Lower levels in basketball should have more kids playing in games period. They are about development, not necessarily winning every time out. Never seen a Fresh or JV team in the 2nd round!!!!!!! Parents love to see little Johnny out on the court, but most of the time Johnny forgets to go hard in practice.
All kids played......just not as much as parents wanted. They never should have combined the teams.
 7. Here's a good one....Several years back we went over to play Central Pollock. Central for some reason couldn't field a freshman team so we combined our freshman and jv(about forty players)....which was about thirty too many......the game was played in the old gym so the head coach was with the varsity....Nobody got much playing time because of the numbers....about two minutes before the game ended several different parents started circling the jv coaching staff. After a few chewing I noticed the coaches face getting red...you could have lit a cigarette off his forehead...then this mom started poking her finger in his chest.....his assistant had had enough, his eyes turned crazy looking and glazed over and then started shouting "any you sob's want some of this".. lol!...he was begging for someone to poke their finger in his chest....he looked at me and I said hey, I'm on your side.  ;D strange thing was we won the game big....those parents didn't care who won just if their kid played.
You have no faith in the Horns :(
I have all the faith in the world.  I am getting on that bandwagon early so it will make me look like I know whats going on.
Hahahahah! There ya go Stevie. Coach Richards and his team can make that third place finish this year. I'm sure he's got his guys focusing on that goal. It's realistic enough for them toget playoffs this season and go one deep. But its a start.
If you can just make sure that they lift on game day, I think they have a lock on the third spot.
Bigger, stronger and faster!
 9.
Who won the Hudson/Henderson game? By the way, think the HJ will win by 10-15.
Henderson won by ten in overtime....
 10.
Haven't seen HJ this year but watched Hudson last night vs Henderson.  Hudson not as strong as years past, depends heavily on one player, Davis. Take HJ in an easy win.
Did Henderson have their fb players?
 11. Hudson is down this year but they will show up. Did notice where they beat Lindale who was ranked.....HJ by 15........
 12.
Vegas has Woodville by 11...........67-56
vegas got the spread but was alittle off on the score.
 13. You guys still haven't answered me......who has the weakest district schedule....Slisbee or HJ?....
 14.
hahahaha no. Huntington couldnt keep up with them. Nor did they have the outside game that woodville did. It was on a neutral site. At woodville, woodville wins by 30 or 40. At huntington the score is +10 or 15, Woodville.
Dont laugh eagles.....we will put another 5-3 whipping on you next time....
 15. When district starts, which of the two will have the weakest district schedule?  ;D

Outside game came to life in third quarter. They are well coached and will make a run in their district.
The results would have been reversed if game had been in H-town
Almost like winning one in J-town..  ;D

 18. I saw Corrigan play tonight. They are not bad. Got a good press.
 19.
Before the game: El Jalapeño in Sour Lake has some good Tex-Mex.  Seriously.  I miss it.  Charra beans better than Pappasito's.  The pizza place a few blocks west on 105 was pretty good, too.  There was a new soul food place, Mother's, in downtown Sour Lake, near El Jalapeño-- they had good food, but I don't know if they're still in business. After the game in Sour Lake: DQ.  There's been a Sonic rumored to be in the works for at least the last five years, but DQ's still got the monopoly on fast food in Sour Lake, far as I know. Of course, Big Rich's gumbo, served every year at the HJ Tournament, is Sour Lake's culinary ne plus ultra. Bon appètit, basketball peeps!
I will second that about the EL Jalapeno....ate there last year during the tourney.....
