When coach Lloyd was at Huntington.....you couldn't have a girl friend during basketball season.....the kids wanted to play bb more than they wanted a female relationship.....there wasn't a parent issue about it either.

[/quote]Hard question to answer.....our football program never got off the ground(28 years) and struggled with basketball since the fb came in. We have had mostly fb AD's......Last two years we have had a bb AD. and have had somewhat success in bb......there are good fb AD's and bad ones......some care about all sports and some only care about fb. If you have a bad one that is a tough situation for trying to build a basketball program...

[/quote]CH is the best 2A I have seen this year(yes, better than Crockett IMHO). # 25 is a beast. They have the bigs and guards can take care of the ball. They played Paris to the wire in Huntington. They are very fundamental and have been in the gym year around....Woden is capable of playing good basketball. Good press, decent shooters. They will get after you....

[/quote] They have the bigs?? no-look, I think it's safe to say you have not seen Silsbee this year. They have one "big" player, '6"4 Stallworth. Silsbee is mostly guards and that is what is driving this team. (Stallworth plays in and out). Silsbee is pushing the ball up the floor, shooting three's, attacking the basket, and throwing "in your face" defensive pressure every trip down the floor. Silsbee is a guard oriented team this year. They are nothing like they have been the past few years. Speed, speed, speed!!! They will win based on their guards, I agree. Their guard play is much better this year. Guard play will determine a lot. They have the bigs and if the guard play steps up to the task they have as good as shot as anyone....they had good guards last year but not an outstanding one that was needed to put them over the top......

Crockett looked good. I didn't think they could handle Slocum, especially just coming out of football....

I think Central is starting three freshmen, a soph and a jr......they will make some noise in the years to come.
