1. Coach Peterson is a good coach and a classy guy. Hard to believe the toss was justified.
 2.
Boy Lazeek's voice sure changed the last few minutes.
I thought Lazeek got religion when Turner hit that three to pull HJ within one....lol......but I will give him an A on the broadcast job.
 3. Why dont you guys just take turns every year instead of playing the game?..... ;D
 4. What did Rudy say? Never under estimate the heart of a champion....
 5. I thought Silsbee would win because of their size match up.....Hudson always shoots very well at the free throw line and also shoots well from three point line....what happened? Did Silsbee's defense play a part or did Hudson have a terrible night shooting? 0-9 from three land and 39% from the ft line is very uncharacteristic of them....
 6. Whats all this got to do with Hudson vrs. Silsbee?
 7. AAW knows that HJ is the best team in the tourney, thats why he's predicting a blowout.... ;D
 8. Where is Silsbee? Is it up in the Panhandle somewhere?
 9.
If Silsbee exploits their size, i expect this to be their largest margin of victory so far in the playoffs.
Word of caution, Hudson is a dangerous team and if you overlook them you will be putting your baseball uniforms on Monday. When they played HJ, HJ was without their post and Hudson was without their best guard and the game went into overtime. Hudson thrives against the press and has some shooters....Silsbee will win the boards. Should be a great game but I dont see a large margin of victory for either team.

Realistically, HJ should win this one by at least 15 or more.
Realistically, I doubt Fairfield will put up 45 points on HJ. Fairfield will not face pressure like HJ will apply. Coach Worley has worked wonders with FF, but honestly they have little to no chance to win this game. I will say FF plays great defense and they have great intensity on the defensive side. They will hustle and get after you but they are seriously lacking on offense.
How did they beat Crockett? Watched Crockett play last night and they were much improved since last time I saw them. Their press was good and they had a big kid that wasn't with them earlier...

We do not shoot the ball well, although Fairfield plays great defense. We have average height. We start a 6'6 post man then the rest or 6'2  and less. Most of our scores are in the low 50s we play slow down ball. Good luck to both teams.
You guys won't be terribly impressed with our size, that's for sure. Are there any teams in your area that press full court the whole game? BTW, one of the things that amaze me about the Hawks is the way they can press even if they miss the shot!!
If this report is any where close to accurate, welcome to the finals HAWKS
I smell bait.  Somebody trying to encourage the Hawks to regard Fairfield like some have regarded the Hawks
Fairfield has two 6'6" guys....One is beast and can create shots, the other is a rebounder and scores most of his points on putbacks.....their point guard was first team all district last year, can light it up from outside and can take it to the hole...also #12 can knock down the three....they are big and athletic and like to control tempo. Should be a good game.
No-look, I am not familiar with this particular Fairfield team that you speak of. This year's Fairfield team is nothing of what you have described.
Was just trying to impress some of my HJ friends...lol.....HJ by 17......

 14.
Silsbee vs. Lufkin Hudson, 8pm Friday @ Sam Houston.
I see match up problems for Hudson in this one. Hudson dont have any bigs.
 15. 78-70. Anyone know the Fairfield/Mexia score?

HJ by five.....
They destroyed a team like Madisonville and still look beatable?
Yeah.....
 17.
Glad to see folks realizing how important coaching is in high school basketball.I've said it for years ,it's no accident that good teams follow good coaches around wherever they go.I said the same thing about the Spurger club all season. The injuries early helped them develope some depth and they are one of the most unselfish clubs you'll see in any classification.I think after tomorrow night we will have Silsbee,HJ,Kountze and Spurger left in the tourney.
Good call.........Something I've noticed about HJ is when playing top teams....they seem to get behind early but come on strong the second half.....probally due to coaching adjustments.
They destroyed a team like Madisonville and still look beatable?
Cleveland is a quality team in the same caliber as HJ and Silsbee.....Madisonville was an average 3A. Their guards turned the ball over a lot and they didn't guard the outside shooters very well. Cleveland hit a lot of wide open threes......
