Probally wont be many teams that will out rebound them......thats college size kids. College Sized Kids? I thought most of those were at Htown. Huntington just got a 6'6" post and a 6'3" point guard from Louisiana(brothers)......should help the inside and outside game....

Thanks Spinks for the compliment to last years Tiger team, I felt that they may have been the best as well but didn't get to prove it. Great to hear it from a Hawk fan.. Unfortunately , for us Tiger fans no team has won the big one yet, although there have been a few Tiger teams that were arguably the best in the state that year. How many starters did Silsbee graduate? I know the point guard graduated.

DV, you were the first to bring in the comparison of the two regions. BTW, you hurt my feelings. I know that you and Nos know more than I do when it comes to basketball, but I do think I bring something to the table. I can't believe that you don't respect my opinion on these matters. There were 4 teams in region three that could have competed just as good as HJ at the state tourney last year. HJ, Silsbee, Navasota, and Cleveland. I still honestly believe after watching the state tournament last year that Silsbee was the best team in the state......I only saw Silsbee play once last year(reg. tourney) I have a feeling they were much better than appeared. Just wasn't their night......

Just like you try to claim that region III is so tough, but they are not winning state in 3A...I understand in SOME years, but FOUR out of FIVE? That just does not add up. DV, which would be the toughest district?.....you have one with a power house with seven weak sisters and the other tough from top to bottom....which is the toughest district?

Back to the topic at hand.....all regIII tourney teams had district loses....making it hard to advance.

HJ, Silsbee, Jasper and Hudson would of had a shot at reg.II last year......its all about match ups.

....183A had two teams in the regional tourney last year........HJ squeaked by Hudson and beat Jasper(the third place team) ........... This is a minor point, but Center was the third place team in 18-3a last year. Jasper and Hudson tied for first place, with Hudson winning the seeding game played at Livingston. sorry j-dog I guess my memory is slipping... lol...Jasper was on a major roll. Spikes and Bailey was fun to watch.

Sorry AAW, the two team show thing brought out the worst in me...lol......back to reg3, Silsbee, HJ, Cleveland, Navasota,LeVega and Hudson are the front runners. Of course this could change after the season gets started.

A two team show?........183A had two teams in the regional tourney last year........HJ squeaked by Hudson and beat Jasper(the third place team) in the finals due to coaching adjustments made at halftime. I do think the cream rose to the top.....didn't HJ loose in OT? and the championship was won in OT?........I dont see that much of a difference in the two regions......reg 2 might have the state champ but I think reg 3 is tougher overall........

I saw this one up close........scored a suite on the forty.... ;D.....I think OU was a little over ranked and BYU was a little under ranked. OU has new receivers and it showed. Would they have won if the injury hadn't occured?....maybe....OU will have to run the table to get a shot at the title. BYU made the plays down the stretch.

The 6'2" move in guard from Dallas and and this junior guard.........Whats attracting these players to Jasper?.....AAW, you may have to reconsider your predictions......... Sounds to me like Bo-Hack is recruiting for Jasper or maybe the Gestapo has become overbearing and those that intended to come to H-town are stopping off in J-town. Recruiting at Jasper and the need for gestapo has "fell off " the last few years.......
