Another plus from summer basketball is it gives the younger guys a chance to see what its like to face varsity players.

You cant tell much from summer ball with players missing and kids out of shape. ....Who would be your top ten teams this year in reg three?........Cleveland would make the cut but what others?

It was a good game down the last tick on the clock.the score was 41-38 silsbee,but silsbee was missing there two biggs.Spurger should have beat nederland by 10+ but we played bad down the the stretch. I am pretty sure HJ beat Anahuac.So for i think the 1a boys are hanging in,some of the other teams look real good.Its going to be a tough tourney,I wont to thank Silsbee coaches for letting us be a part of tourney this year. Yes Sabine plays football! Barely. They drop down in classification and still go 2-8, 0-7 in district. They are the second largest school in their district and they are picked to finish last in the district this year by DCTF. That's with 14 letterman returning, 12 starters, 7 off, 5 def. The order of finish predicted for that district: White Oak 398 Big Sandy Harmony 314 Diana New Diana 293 Elysian Fields 296 Harleton 214 Winona 284 Gladewater Union Grove 247 Gladewater Sabine 391 Now I see why I don't see you over in the football forum. Kevin will do a good job at Central but it will take a couple years to compete in that district......He will have very little talent to work with. It wont be a quick fix.....their eight grade is solid but not much up the line....hope He's in it for the long haul..

Heard that Silsbee will be getting a move-in guard from Louisiana. Played the point last year at a 5A school....... Your info is wrong. He is not from Louisiana, he is from Arkansas. He was all state PG, '6"2 soph. Also, the Tigers will get a shooting guard from Yates. I thought the Yates guard was coming to Huntington?........

I guess it depends on the athlete and posistion he plays........Did anyone watch the two Arp trips to the state tourney in the last few years..Cedric Johnson was all world as a sophmore and as a senior made very little difference. He was bigger and stronger his senior trip but his basketball skills weren't the same....I think he got a scholarship for football(forgot where)....
