Score is correct. Thomas Davis had 25 and a few dunks. Ja'lexius was held to two free throws........Huntington is protecting the ball a lot better and their defense is strong. Hudson had 13 points at halftime and was held to 4 in the third quarter. Huntington had three starters with four fouls in the third quarter and had to play a lot of subs. Huntington was 19-23 at the line while Hudson was 14-29. Lufkindailynews.com has a write up if you care to look........

I am afraid Jasper doesn't make it to the playoffs. Lufkin Hudson, Center, and Carthage will be the representatives from this district. Aggies, have you seen Carthage play this year?

Most teams goes through times like this. You have the holidays, games everyday,kids get tired and sometimes lack intensity.......I know very few teams that are undefeated at this point. Its a new season when district starts. I read the post about HJ and Silsbee getting beat every now and then but thats just part of the process........Its not like they are 2-16.....when playoffs starts, its the team that is playing well and has some luck that advances. The NW Giants won the super bowl last year and they barely made the playoffs as a wild card.....we (Huntington) are 15-4 and just happy to be there....so turn that whine upside down and make a smiley face.......lol... ;D

When they played us they were introduced as sophmores and one jr.....could be the announcer got it wrong....

If I'm reading the bracket correctly, Cleveland and Silsbee play today @ 6:00???

Cleveland doesn't want any part of Silsbee. ;D If I'm reading the bracket right, If Silsbee and Cleveland win they will play each other.........Silsbee plays Dayton and Cleveland plays Sterling.....whats the odds of both Silsbee and Cleveland winning their first game?.............I have seen Cleveland up close this year and they looked like they could beat the Celtics....could have been a one game fluke?.....they shot over 80% from three land....

Who is coaching at Warren this year?

There's nothing wrong with home cooking at your own tourney......the strong side of the bracket is good competition. Most teams would rather play good teams(especially right before district)......also the gate fees go up if the home team is in the finals.(more people can make the games if the home teams play last) the tourney makes more money........

Havent seen a bracket yet but know that Diboll plays St. Joseph at 2:00 Monday and Hudson opens with Tenaha.

Goodrich may take this one. Cayuga is fresh out of football and probally out of bb shape........Cayuga is a 1A with 3A athletes and is well coached. Stud is out with an injury but may be back by Feb..........

I would love to see Silsbee and Cleveland play...........

If cleveland as good as you say and that young. What type of team are they? Do they have height or what. Hudson are just really a good team with some experience. HJ seen them play once this year but they have gotten better since the Central game I hear. So I can see LH, Silsbee in the regional but HJ still have work and Cleveland is young and don't know too much about them. Cleveland is very athletic and very dicipilined. They have a post that is a beast(soph) and a good point guard and good shooting guards........We played with them for a quarter and a half. They canned seven threes in a row and never looked back.....it was HJ all over again.....lol

So far, the best teams in reg. three that I have seen is HJ, Hudson and Cleveland.(not doubting Silsbee but havent seen them)..........Cleveland looked like world beaters against us. They shot the lights out from everywhere. Started four sophmores and one jr.......when playoffs start you have to be good and have some luck. Matchups have a big impact also......the best team doesn't always make it....
