The UIL will send Championship trophies to Shelbyville and Lapoynor this year according to KTRE. Not sure if every team gets one?

Has written some great songs. Makes a good guitar pastime.

The element of surprise.

A lot of the teams we see at the state tourney seem to be household names. Some may miss a few years but they seem to always show up again. Tradition and coaching is a biggie. Numbers is not a huge factor but does come into play in general. As already been mentioned a good little dribblers program ran right is huge. And maybe a good communications program Lol

What are some things that they all have in common? Even in a down year they still have a winning season. If you dissected each program what would you find that would apply to all?

Can’t help but wonder what the players are doing during this time. Every gym is closed and people are supposed to be staying in so who is working on their skills at home ( dribbling, shooting or lifting)? The facts will reveal themselves later. Lol.

I remember one year Alto had us down 66-0 with one play left in the game. Alto had the ball and faked a knee and threw a TD pass and won 72-0. They were ranked #1 at the time.

No harm in testing the waters.

I was hoping he was going to SFA. Congrats to him! He will do well there.

That’s a good resume! He will do well wherever he winds up. I would like to see him in Lumberjack purple.

Would have enjoyed watching this Montverde team play. Trying to remember the best high school Team that saw. Maybe the elite Yates team or the Willowridge team of 2001 with Daniel Ewing and TJ Ford and co. Probably forgetting some more. But I’m thinking Montverde is a different animal.

Lots of talent there for sure.

Wonder how Ok State snagged Cunningham? Coach Mike stepped up. So far no Duke or Kentucky in the mix.

I’ve always said that Bush was the motor that made Silsbee go the last four years. The kind of player that can’t be replaced.

After studying college basketball this year in depth I feel confident that mine would have the most perfect one! I would have nailed it.

Seems the tourney had a cloud hanging over it before it started. Couldn’t get into the games that were played today. During the last game they carted out a guy on a stretcher. Don’t know what was the issue. Everything just seemed wrong. Maybe next year will be back to normal.
