  2. Kinda late but I do know Woodville scores. Defeated Big Sandy 51-29, then East Chambers 41-37 and won championship over Goodrich 51-43 in overtime after 41-41 tie in regulation. Quadena Moye hit five of five 3's (2 in OT). Win # 604 for Coach Danny Buchanan.
  3. Ahh, the wonderfully wise UIL, they'll let band directors load up their numbers with junior high kids but won't let 'em PRACTICE softball with big kids.
  4. Anybody know how Evadale and Colmesneil came out last week?
  5. Gimme an 'S', Gimme a 'U', Gimme a 'C', Gimme a 'K'!!! OU! OU! OU!
  6. Any fall ball leagues in the area? One team moving up to 12U, one moving up to 14U.
  7. Congratulatons to the Tyler County Tantrum for winning the 2008 Texas ASA 10 & Under 'C' State Championship Tournament this past weekend in Galveston. A true, league All-Star team of girls from Woodville, Warren, Colmesneil and Chester, the Tantrum battled their way through a 36-team bracket and won the title in a come-from-behind thriller over the Rose-Rich Stampede. Down 3-0 going into the final inning, the Tantrum exploded for six runs in the top of the frame and held on down the stretch for a 6-3 win and the big trophies! An awesome job and an even more awesome group of girls!
  8. Great job, Lady Eagles & a nice rebound from Hemphill game! Keep it up!
  9. Way to go Eagles! Keep it up! And jackleg, lighten up on the Boomer Sooner stuff, please. Don't want our boys chokin' in any big games!
  10. All right Pirates! As for sloppy, sometimes happens when going up against somebody you know is not up to level. If they played sloppy and won by 40, well, do you want them to play sloppier and win bigger? Wasn't there but imagine bench was on the court most of the way and pretty sure when Big Sandy rolls around coach will have them focused.
  11. Way to go, Lady Warriors! How did Tiffany Weise do? Heard she was signing a softball deal next week?
  12. Hemphill girls were quick, feet & hands, and made their shots when they could get one. #30 and #33 heady players. Entire team has good shooting touch. Lady Eagles played agressive D and got lots of t/o's but couldn't convert, lots of roll around the rim layups that didn't spin the right way. Don't think Woodville made one outside shot. Hemphill running out of gas late and Woodville girls came back hard but too little too late especially after Brooke Taylor and Foster fouled out. Poor officiating, too, both ways but Hemphill got lots of leeway. Hemphill coach showed her usual behavior, almost escortetd out by law.
