i was only 6 months old so unfortunately i missed that one...i have miss this one as well (i bought tickets to the baylor/a&m game well before sterling clinched a playoff birth) hopefully that isnt another 23 year mistake....

La Porte lost to both Baytown Lee and Baytown Sterling early in the year...I dunno if they have gotten any better but that doesnt really speak well for their chances against PAM....I think PAM wins a close game...

Sterling vs. Pearland Friday 7PM at Deer Park

The Sterling/Channelview game shouldnt have been near that close, I have never seen a team w/ the luck of Channelview in that first half....They couldnt move the ball on first and second down, but on 3rd they just lobbed the ball and kept making some crazy catches, it was unreal at times...through all of that Sterling looked like they were gonna take over in the 2nd half come halftime but for whatever reason their offense went out the window and they started turning the ball over...Channelview was driving to take the lead in the 4th quarter when the big fumble recovery for a TD iced the game, the defense came to play the 2nd half i dunno where the offense went... on a sidenote Channelview should be embarassed not at the play or athletes on their team but at the fact that they only had 29 kids on a 5a high school team (i counted before the game i was so shocked, i kept waiting for more to come out of the locker room)...29 channelview? are you kididng me???? i go regularly to liberty games as well and i have never seen a 3a team with less than 30 kids...i dont know how that is possible, maybe some failed but even then they couldnt have more than 35-40...they have a lot of work to do in promoting the football program in channelview apparantly, which is sad since we do live in Texas....

West Brook has to find a way to get North Shore into 4th and long first....and even then North Shore fakes it half the time....

Pearland is gonna kill us in the first round...but gotta crawl before you walk, hopefully this year is the first of building back the sterling program...

some of you West Brook fans are delusional...if your team hasnt "played to its potential" by week 9 then maybe your expectations of your teams potential are a little too much...it is what it is, and by week 9 99% of all teams have found themselves.... even if West Brook plays a perfect game they are going to need North Shore to make mistakes for them to win, North Shore is that good...and no i dont think they are invincable like someone suggested some fans think early, its just that some people think that its gonna take a lot for West Brook to beat them, now for a team like Pearland it might be possible to spring the upset w/o North Shore giving it to them, but lets be honest hear West Brook is a good team but they are no Pearland....it is high school football and crazy stuff happens, but West Brook is gonna need at least 3 or 4 North Shore turnovers to win this one...honestly, West Brook needs to be hoping that they dont get that awesome running back hurt again in this game so they can make some noise in the playoffs, if Lee can hurt him with their defense then i'd be scared of what North Shore's defense could do...

well the game was pretty much what i thought....closer than it was "supposed" to be...sterling had a shot at it but it didnt happen...hopefully the rangers keep getting better and can make the game go the other way...since i have now seen both north shore and west brook i can safely say barring an egg by north shore they should have their way w/ the bruins, but west brook can prolly make some noise in the playoffs if they can control their penalties... its unfortunate for the rangers that they will have to play pearland in the first round, but when u havent been to the playoffs since 1985 u'll take what u get....

you may be right, we'll find out but to be fair West Brook has only played one team with a winning record, and the team with a winning record was 4a.....i just dont think it will be a blow out like it seems west brook fans are assuming, i think it'll be close and Sterling will have a shot, but i have been wrong before so we'll see what happens...honestly, it appears to me West Brook's first real test of the year is Sterling, whether they are good enough to turn that test into a tuneup game for North Shore will be seen tomorrow...

i think if they beat Lee they are in....North Shore is 4-0, Westbrook is 3-0, Sterling is 2-1, Lee/Port Arthur are 1-3, Channelview is 0-4.....so Lee/Port Arthur game next week is for 4th.... Correct! I predict the final district standings will look like this.....NS 5-0, WB 4-1, Sterling 3-2, Lee 2-3, PAM 1-4, C-view 0-5 i think the West Brook/Sterling game tomorrow will be interesting, closer than a lot of west brook fans seem to think, but we will see...just my opinion....Lee/Port Arthur final score might 2-0 or something, both of their offensives are horrible but defenses are good, i honestly have no idea who wins that one...

panama...i dunno, i think after watching north shore play they are in a class all their own...west brook is good but north shore is a level above them, maybe 2 levels....Lee has a great defense but the prob is they are small, all of North Shore's guys arent just big but they are lightening fast, their tightend would be an actual lineman on most teams but prolly runs a 4.5 or so, he caught one in the sterling game and just ran away from the defensive backs...Lee might be able to stay with North Shore for a little while but their bigger offense is gonna wear Lee down pretty quickly and turn the 2nd half ugly I think, unless if Lee discovers some way to not go 3 and out almost every offensive posession which is highly unlikely...also, Lee's corners better be ready cause if they blitz like they did against Stelring that QB of North Shore is gonna have a field day... its possible for Lee to hang w/ North Shore but its gonna take a lotta mistakes by the Mustangs for Lee to close come the 4th quarter...but it is high school football and stranger things have happened....

if they'd ever run a slant when inside the 20 they would score because im 90% sure they have only done it once this season and every defense is just sitting on the lob....

i wasnt there (not born yet) but as i have heard many times yall won on first down, penetrations were tied....Sterling got stopped right outside the 20 inthe 4th quarter or something which wouldve won it for them....reguardless if it was penetrations or first downs im glad they did away w/ that stupid rule, when i was little that rule confused the heck outa me....

surely liberty can still beat tarkington.....
