  1. Only a 100 yards? Are you serious, I mean, having only 100 yards is bad now?
  2. Buna is still my sleeper that's not getting a lot of press, Anahuac is in the drivers seat with their destiny on their own shoulders. Hardin and EC have to win out I think to make it. Definately a lot of football left to play, anybody's got a shot.
  3. EC will have to stop #32, one tough and strong running kid. I think EC will come in pretty pissed off after last week, which could be bad for Anahuac.
  4. So now Villemez is all Hardin has, he must be better than I thought if he was able to rush for over 300 yards and score 4 touchdowns against EC and be the only kid on the field. That's almost magical abilities. I just checked the Houston Chronicle, IN ALL DISTRICTS in rushing, the only kids even close in 23-AA are from Deweville and Anahuac. Also, keep this in mind, Villemez started the year as a slot back/receiver for the most part. Against Anahuac, I don't remember an exact number, but I know it was over 100 yards with one rushing and one passing touchdown. Pretty good numbers I'd say. Villemez--84/732 yards 14 touchdowns Deior Mcneil---83/640 yards 13 touchdowns Kane Katchtik---76/617 yards 6 touchdowns Rest of 23-AA.........nowhere to be found
  5. Earlwick, concerning the Villemez kid that doesn't match up with your boy from Buna, is this the same Villemez kid that's leading Southeast Texas in rushing yards and touchdowns and also plays every down on defense? Can't be huh, if he doesn't match up with your boy, right? Also, talking about Stelly, I really think he could have the lateral movements you talk about if he wanted to, but I believe he prefers to just run smooth a** over people.
  6. Yep, it's a sad story. He was accepted to play football at Annapolis, blew his shoulder out, ended up not going anywhere and living his dream through the SEtxsports football ranks. I can't hardly talk about it still without crying. Horrible, horrible, story, the NFL really missed out on that kid. I heard he's doing low budget late night movies for Cinemax now. What a shame.
  7. Beefhead monster......LOL!!.......Man did we have some fun down there with him, that guy could party and loved the ladies.
  8. We beat EC my Sophomore year, 1984, the first year hardin had moved up to 3A. Remember that bad a** linebacker Hardin had that year, man what a beast for his first year on varsity.
  9. John Stelly #34, fullback and linebacker at Hardin. Volleyballer, I guess you're from Buna after your post, you'll find out soon enough who he is.
  10. Where does Milton Williams go to school? Just wondering because I was gonna let Stelly know, but you have nothing to worry about since Stelly isn't good at all. Right?
  11. I had given up on this post, but after checking it today there's a little bit of glow around me right now. You posters outside Liberty County are getting a dose of the intellect of some of the HD posters on here. HD55 has bragged and mouthed so much that I think it's made a lot of people root against them and lose respect for them. HD is not and has never been considered a powerhouse in anything in Southeast Texas in 30 years. Newton, Jasper, East Chambers, Corrigan-Camden, now you're talking about teams who people talk about every year. The only people that talk about HD live in HD. Sorry if I missed some of you other real powerhouses.
  12. Back in the day, you're right, we new Kaleb was gonna be special way back in the PeeWee days, I got to enjoy him for six years. Oh, and by the way, I can say I taught him every thing he knows! LOL!!!!!!
  13. My buddie John Stelly, dominated on defense and helped provide lots of running room. What more can you ask for from a heck of a kid, he's one of the most dedicated kids on this team and goes 100% all of the time. Good job Kaleb, what a senior year so far.
  14. Mitch Villamez in Hardin hands down. 6'3", 195, 4.5 forty yard dash, and still only a Junior with a lot of growing still to do. I'll also give kudos to #32 in Anahuac, big and physical. I want to edit this and add Stelly from Hardin too, he's so awesome on defense people forget about his running and blocking ability.
  15. I'm a supersticious guy, I missed Hemphill and we killed them, I went to Anahuac and we got killed, I missed EC and we pulled out a huge win. Maybe I should just stay at home and wait for your post!
  16. HD55, we finally agree on something. talking smack on here is what makes it fun, especially for us old timers, that's about all we got left to do. All mouthing aside, good luck HD on the rest of your season.
  17. Hey Hornet, thanks for keeping us posted all night yesterday. I've had complaints filed at my apartments on me as a result of your post, I guess I couldn't control my emotions. Now for the boys last night, great job, but don't dwell on the win too long, we still got work to do. Everybody you got left could come in on the same emotional high as you had last night and beat you. Let's win out and go in the playoffs in the number two spot, I think Anahuac is in the drivers seat to be number one. Good luck EC too, you could win out and join us and we'll have pretty good representation in the playoffs.
  18. Good point bleacher_bum, you're exactly right. Of course, I'll be rooting for my neighbors in WH!!!
  19. Hd55, you're darn right. Ya'll have talked so much crap so far, ya'll were State Champs already, and now you get your butt kicked easily. Like I said earlier, maybe this will shut ya'll up for a while.
  20. I know all the EC fans are gonna say, "EC was looking past Hardin to Anahuac", when in reality Hardin played their butts off. They hit like crazy on defense and Villamez was a dominating force, which also means the offensive line played a heck of a game. Now, the trash talking from Hardin can begin. Since 7 on 7 started last school year EC has talked about how they would kill Hardin this year, well it looks like it's Hardin's turn to do a little mouthing and they can back it up. Congrats Hornets!!!! By the way, where is all the EC posters at who normally jump all over these treads, are they still in the bleachers?
  21. Part of my life is enjoying seeing HD get beat by anyone. Anytime one team talks so much crap and then loses, it's just soothing to me.
  22. Just heard, Mitch with close to 300 rushing and 4 touchdowns. Good job offensive line!
  23. Hardin by 7 in a barn burner, I'll say 35-28. I'll also say Villamez has a bunch of touchdowns and a pile of yardage. I'm so smart!
  24. How many rushing yards did Villamez end up with? I count at least 150 in touchdown rushes alone.
  25. Absolutely awsome, big, big win. Congratulations Hornets!!!!
