I have already bought Astro tickets for the opening weekend series with Oakland. Hopefully, they won't be mathematically eliminated by then. For those of us that have been Astros fans forever, this season will be painful. Even more than last year. I doubt they win more than 45 games. But for those of us that are still sticking with them, it only proves that we are real Astros fans ! When they do finally put together a great team (in 3 or 4 years), we can't be accused of jumping on the bandwagon.

Alex Soper threw one heck of a game! 6 innings, 2 hits, 1 unearned run (I believe). Garrett Lockhart was the victim of a "seeing eye" ground ball hit, a bloop hit that "fisted" the batter and then a well placed bunt in the 7th inning. WB gave top ranked Deer Park a everything they had. Great game.

OZEN 5  -  NEDERLAND 2  Final WP = Aaron Chambers with great relief from Jay Moore. Chandler Crawford and Deione Douglas had timely hits.

Still too wet. Monday 4:30 start.
