The Cardinals showed a lot of HEART. It was a hard fought game. The Cards really earned this victory. AWESOME !

Vlad is getting old but he is still one of the best in the league !

Connor has worked hard, as has fellow WB Bruin [u]Aaron Morgan[/u] who has committed to LSU-Eunice.

They deserve it ! These two have worked hard since they were little kids.

A tie versus the mighty St. Agnes machine is something the Kelly team can be proud of ! The Houston school has almost a 1,000 girls. This is approximately 5 times as many as little ol' Beaumont Kelly. St. Agnes has dominated this division in several sports for years ! I expect Kelly will be victorious on their home field! When will the rematch be ?

West Hardin is a 1A school. Dress only 19 varsity players. Playing a big 3A JV is a good match-up. The Oilers played their ___'s off and should be proud !

Final : North Shore 8, West Brook 0 :'(

West Brook is now 6 - 7 in District 21 5A and hold, at least, a one game lead for the last play-off spot. The Bruins play North Shore at home Monday then travel to North Shore for the final game on Friday.

Aaron Morgan hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 6th to put the Bruins up 6 to 5. He also came in to relieve Jordan Soper with two shut out innings - including three K's in the 7th ! Cody Woodward and Connor McDonald had two hits, Reggie Wilson had a double.

West Brook adds 9 more runs in the top of the 5th. Aaron Morgan and Connor McDonald had extra-base hits in the inning. Adam Goebel came in to finish the game with a strke out, single , double play.

The game was suspended with Westbrook batting in the the top of the 5th. WB 11 , PAM 0. The game will resume Moday at 5:00pm. Jordan Soper has pitched the first 4 innings for WB, giving up 3 hits, no walks, 6 K's. Lawrence Kuykendall has hit 2 HR !! Chris Muellner has a Triple and a HR (inside the park) Ross Foret and Connor McDonald have each hit a Double. Ronny Sanchez has a Double for PAM.

Lee 10, WB 3 It was ugly.

Just the fact nobody from the Kelly Girl's team made the Super Gold Team invalidates it. Kelly had a winning record against the local play-off teams. Madeline Horning and Claire Dykeman are considered as two of the premier players in the whole state. It is hard to concieve they are not included as top players in just this area.

Channelview 5 , West Brook 1 Channelview improves to 5 - 1, West Brook drops to 3 - 3 in District. Play again Friday in Channelview.
