Guess that was why some of the 9th graders were on the JV squad last week. We also have had the nasty habit of playing up and down to competition the last several years. No way BC blows us out.

Silsbee's biggest weekness the last few years has been stopping running qbs. This year we can't stop the run period. I'm thinking we need to go ahead and pull up some of the hosses from the JV squad. Picking BC by 10-14 but Silsbee has the ability to outscore them in a shootout. Hope they do.

[/quote] Totally disagree. That Jasper '06 team was the worst Jasper team that I have ever seen and I have seen all Jasper teams back to 1970. The '06 team lost to Silsbee that year 35-0 in just over 2 quarters of play. With about 7 minutes left in the 3rd and Silsbee leading 35-0, a big storm blew in and delayed the game. After about a 20 minute wait, Jasper decided to end the game right then with Silsbee getting the win, 35-0. Silsbee could have won that game 60-0 or worse. At least this year's Jasper team scored 20 points against Silsbee, only trailing 22-14 at the half. That '06 team had no speed what so ever and was probably the lowest scoring Jasper team in several decades. The defense wasn't much better. This year's Jasper team would beat the '06 team by at least 2 TD's. [/quote] I think the '06 Tiger squad was much better than this year's.

Wow that didn't take long. Someone must be best buddies or family. Silsbee has gone 63-67 from 98-09, stats padded from playing in a weak 3A district outside of WO-S, and hasn't made it past the second round of the playoffs. Just facts, something needs to change.

Only reason I can imagine is they want it to be a first come first serve situation in lieu of their limited visitor seating. Don't want a lot of fans showing up with tickets in hand and not have room for them. Only speculation and probably a reach.

Also when McDaniel was hurt, wasn't the call roughing the passer? Should've resulted in a Silsbee first down. Not blaming this loss on the refs. OC needs to do a better job. Find something that works then to not go back to it. Ho-hum, another could've, should've, would've season for the Tigers. Doing less with more than just about every 3A team in the state. Bring on them Eagles.
