1. I didn't mean it as a disrespectful statement. But both of these teams aren't bad, they are just likely not going to go to the postseason this year. Im just saying most predictions have both these schools as the last two teams in the district. I do apologize and didnt mean to upset anyone. Congrats to Vidor for pulling it out and getting a good win.
2. This game is proof you HAVE to play all 4 quarters or you can get beat!
3. Well I was told their was a press conference later this week to announce them going on sale. But around $100 is what Im hearing about pricing too.
4. Nederland finished on a 28 to 8 run to win the game!  :o
5. Who is planning on buying season tickets? How many tickets do you think they will sell? Can they sell enough to make it this time around?
6. Sorry AAW. Didn't know Jeremy Johnson had signed there and hadn't seen the other post.

8. Sorry Soulja. You're wrong on this one! Lumberton wins by 8!
9. Nederland 60 PN-G        53 Forney should have another big night. Also, is Kelvin Smith out again? Is that who is missing?

But I think the Bulldogs are looking for a rematch of that great 3 game series from last years playoffs. Nederland should have another great team as well. I think Nederland or Brehnam comes out of Region 3 this year easy.
I couldn't agree more...This might sound selfish but I'm tired of just making it to the semi finals or to the championship and losing.  Winning the region is great and all but it gets old if you don't have a title to go with it.  In 2009 we won the region in baseball, track, cross country, soccer and girls soccer, along with becoming state finalist in football and volleyball.  I don't know weather to consider those things an accomplishment or to accept all of the choking?!  All I know is, that we need to come through the next time we're in that position.  Do you know if y'all are playing in the Brenham tournament?  I wanna check Nederland out before we see y'all in the playoffs?  Have you seen Brenham's junior SS, Drake Roberts?  That kid is out of this world good.  He's been commited to Arkansas since he was a freshman.
I saw him last year in the playoffs and he is good. But I think Kirby Bellow will be up to the challenge.  ;) Anyway, I have not seen the final schedule yet. But we usually play in at least one tournament close to yall.

12. Hamilton, Brown, Lucas, and James will shoot over the top of the 2-3 zone. and once they have to start closing out on shooters that will open up penetration and post moves for Pittman inside. Plus the Orangemen can't score with Texas. They don't have the offensive presence to match the intensity and pressure that the depth of Texas can put on them. So no Texas will kill Syracuse. But the beauty of basketball and the 3 pt. line is that anyone can beat anyone anyday. So who knows Texas could not show up in the 2nd round of the tourney and get beat. But I highly doubt it!

So with this win chalk that number up to 4 now. Anyone notice a trend here........
I wouldn't call 4 wins out of about 30 games, a trend. ;)
Well thats a much better ratio than pretty much every other coach in the district so I will take my chances.
14. Where were the starters? On Christmas vacation or academically out?

16. This is a prime example of what happens when we make an effort to pass him the ball. I think he had about 24 points.
17. how many points Doty have? And PNG imo is definitely one of the top 5 teams in this district. They can get into the playoffs easy and I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised.
18. I think its going to be very close with a few more upsets on the way. But I dont think Lumberton has much of a chance at all to get in. I think it is: 1. Central 2. Ozen 3. Nederland 4. Livingston 5. PNG  And don't count out the Indians. Doty could almost single handedly carry them into the playoffs.
19. No way O'field beats WOS to get into the playoffs. I don't think even Hayes can improve them that much.
20. Granted, I didn't predict Nederland winning, but I'm not real surprised they did. Ozen probably has their worst team of the decade and Nederland has one of their best. That is no disrespect to Ozen either, i just feel this Ozen team is good, not great like in the past. Ned just hasn't been able to win a close game all year until Tuesday. Now that they have learned to do that in back to back games look for the wins to keep on coming. Great job dogs.
