No I have played with all these players and I really don't think the depth is that great. Especially at guard play. Torres isn't great. I agree. But he is definitely the best we have and he doesn't cost us the game so we live with him

First off. Thanks Mr. Mosley if you got this unlocked for us. I am not sure what exactly you did. Second, Hey Banner. This is Trace. But I would personally like to apologize to the administrators of this forum for my inappropriate comments about Dr. Soileau and the other adminstrators at NHS. But to my response to the above comment, we in no way want to take away anything that this team has accomplished. They are on pace to be one of the best teams in school history. But the players really have nothing to do with this and I am not sure if more than 5 of them even know about the board being taken up. I don't think this is much of a distraction. the problem lies with students having everything fun taken away from them. They basically can't be more than 1/2 second late to class without getting detention, aren't allowed to dress themselves now, and lastly they aren't allowed to even bring a dry erase board to a basketball game. I think the students have had enough and are finally taking a stand. If they don't do something now when will it ever end? P.S. Joseph, if I can get a Dome Dummie shirt before the game tomorrow let me know because I want one. Tell Alec to text me if I can. He has my number.

No Joke! He turned Vidor and Nederland around for Gods sake! Thats remarkable itself. I just hope he doesnt leave which I doubt he will unless he gets a big 5A job a long while down the road. Or don't forget Neuman might get jealous and run him out of town....

Not much depth. NO offense to any players. But Dylan Campbell, the backup PG seems to be playing like the game is to fast for him a lot of times. Same with Ryan Hadnot. Kelvin Smith and Christian Stewart are good but still Dean and Forney are better. The bench is limited and Coach English has always liked to use a limited rotation so that helps the situation. And the have got the job done so far this season so why change now?

I don't know exactly who you are but I am always at the games sitting with yall and I graduated in 07 so I'll bring a board to and if they try to take my board we will have some problems. Not cause I will do anything stupid on it but I will show my support for the team. And I dare Mr. Little Man 9 Fingers to stop me!

In the results I think we should have a winning % because i missed a few weeks and I cant catch up on number of wins.

Dickie I dont understand what us being from SE texas has to do with anything? Are you saying schools everywhere around the country just let this stuff go? I think not. They all get punished. As a football and basketball player you are representing the school at all times. Not just when they are on the field. Extra Curricular activities are a priviledge. Those participants should be held to a higher standard. And he can't obey the law then he shouldn't be able to play basketball. Basketball is a reward to these kids for staying out of trouble and passing all of your classes. He did not stay out of trouble so you must take away the reward. I dont blame Saveat for not knowing because there is no way he could have known. But now that he does know he should suspend the player indefinitely so he can get his life straight. As far as Baylor I would not be surprised the least bit he got his scholarship ripped away. Baylor is a prestigious Christian school that doesnt allow alcohol on campus. I am pretty sure they don't want players who get caught with weed either. Art Briles is a smart guy who doesn't want to risk any bad media for his team if this guy gets caught with weed when he is there. If the school is going to give this guy a free ride through college I have no problem if they dont want to do that since the kid now has a history with drugs.

The best team right now has to be UConn. Do I think they win it all? No. I vote UNC. but looking at each teams body of work you have to put UConn #1.

Francis Torres should go 10. He has been a leader for two years on that team and can put up 30 any night. Also he has stepped up his effort on defense with a lot more steals this year than previous years. Pitts is good on defense and hits big shots but is no threat off the dribble. Fitch is a great shooter also cant hurt you off the dribble. And dean is a bigger guy but needs to start consistantly rebounding. He doesn't go after the ball like I wish he would.

As an ex Nederland player and friend of all the Dome Dummies I find it hilarious all the things they say. Most of the jokes are things like "44 wheres short shorts!" and "Man your losing worse than you did in football!" Never do they write out names of players. The one or two times it has been done the board was taken up. I can understand why you don't want the students calling out players by names and insulting them in front of their peers but none of that is going on. The administrators already took away their freedom to dress how they want and now they cant even cheer for their team with signs.

I completely agree. There is no one that we can hand the ball too at the end of the game and tell them find a way to score that can consistantly score. But everyone says we have a couple recruits that are coming in that can so hopefully next year! I just hope we can find a way to win a game in the tourney.
