Nederland hasn't played 16 minutes of basketball that well all year as they did in the second half. I am shocked by the way the came back out. Lets keep that up against Ozen guys!

Central by 7 I think. But I would in no way be surprised if PN-G upsets them. Either way I think it will be close.

Yea I forgot about Wheatley. And what are we classifying as good here? Is good going to state? or is good making the Playoffs or what? Ozen is good by any means of the definition but they certainly aren't great. We just don't know yet how good they really are.

I agree but not just with him. The whole team it sounds like. There is no doubt in my mind Central is better than Livingston. And I forgot about Doty from PN-G so add him #9 to my list. Thanks diesel for reminding me

Also you have to throw in Dallas Carter and Lake Travis! Plus I think I heard this somewhere but isn't Yates a lot like like North Shore in football? Have a really good team and then choke earlier in the playoffs then they should? Just asking. And Ozen will be fine. Coming into the year I didnt think they would be a state caliber team. Especially now with Boutte gone and especially with Johnson out. I think at best they are a regional semi-finalist team this year.

No Livingston surprised me how well they played. They were much more athletic than I expected. Even with all their turnovers they were one rimmed out three away from going into overtime. Plus they couldn't buy a shot all night. They had an off game. They will still do fine in the future.

Hey Soulja! How did number 1 for Livingston do? He had 30 against Ned. He reminds me of Luke Harangody from Notre Dame. He has an ugly shot but it always seems to fall and kind of goofy looking out there but he always comes up with the loose balls and the rebounds when they need them!

Good win for Nederland. Played well all around and really tightened up defensively that led to some transition points in the second half. I think they played a little better than Vidor the first half. That score is very misleading. And Chris Hammond played a great game. Best defensive game of his career possibly. Really played Jared Williamson tight when they went man to man the second half.

Oh dang. Didn't see that score. Good job Lumberton. They haven't been able to win close games all year. Thats their big problem.

I wouldn't go top 5. But he is a lot better than Jeff thats for sure!!!! My top 5 are: 1. Phil Jackson 2. Greg Popovich 3. Jerry Sloan 4. George Karl 5. Byron Scott All proven winners except Scott. He won as a player though and not long til New Orleans is on top.

Who has Lumberton been playing close? I thought they just lost to Ozen by like 35 or something? I could be wrong. I know PN-G has won a few games recently thats why I think they will win this one easily.

Okay like I said Kody Becnol had LSU interested until he blew out his knee and they gave up on him after the injury. Travis still has all his letters from schools and one that have personally seen asking him to go on an official visit to Cincinnatti. He told them no he would rather play baseball. I never saw Weaver play like I said. I know there was a great coach weaver at Nederland but growing up and playing there I haven't ever heard about the player so I dont know how good he was. I know Loupe and Neely were very good as well. Hammond gets a playoff berth and wins he has to be considered at the top. Making it to the playoffs doesn't put anyone there. 4 teams go now. When Weaver played only 1 team went. If three went back in 1983 then Nederland would have been in the playoffs. A different system now. I believe they would have beaten the current Bulldog Team. Very true. I understand that. But winning makes players great. A lot of great players that are on losing teams don't get the credit they deserve. Winners make a team so much better. Look at MJ and Kobe. Its part of why we can't begin to consider Lebron one of the greats yet. If Chris goes to the playoffs it will go a long way as to who is the best to come through NHS.

With Nederland this year they run a lot more of their offense through Forney down low. Thats why his points are up. Also Torres has been taking away from his shots. Chris isn't in a shooting funk his percentage is fine. He isn't looking to score as much. They aren't relying on him as much. He is still a great player though.
