I completely disagree with that. Half of the time there is a great team out there who has recruiting some major talent to their school to play and some out of this world team.

They are all good but Hammond is the best out of the four. Torres gives him a close second.

Arkansas was a lot better than I thought when I finally watched them play. Very talented but undersized point guard and their power forward was a beast. They deserved that win. As for Texas Abrams couldn't make a shot all night. Texas was just outplayed the second half. What can you do?

I think it was Becnol. '02 I think. He was really good! LSU wanted him until he blew out his knee the beginning of his senior year. I didn't see Becnol so I can't compare the two but Weaver is the only Ned player I know that played in a NCAA National Championship for University of Houston. Well I never saw Weaver either but I know what Becnol can still do and he still is a beast.

Jim St. Pierre Nederland 9th. Great teacher of the fundamentals and the little things you must do in basketball to win. Also an amazing guy. Would do anything for his players.

Great win for Ned. Threes were falling from everywhere. Nederland had four turnovers late in the first half which made their lead drop from about 11 down to 5 at halftime. Forney was a beast in the paint. PN-G had no answer. Also Kelvin Smith did a good job rebounding off the bench. Great game all-around for the dogs. Also PN-G's Weathersbee (spelling?) was great for them. He tried everything he could to keep them in it.

Lovelady at Nederland should be good. He will make the switch from linebacker to tailback like Grogan did last year.

I don't know for sure. They could sneak up on BC when they come to town. And I think WO-S is under-rated. They are very athletic and can shoot the rock this year, unlike last year. I think they beat OF for that third and final playoff spot

No I think Ozen will come to play without Boutte. They want to prove its not all about coaching.

I don't like LC-M floor but the painting of the bears is really nice. It sort of intimidates you when you walk in.

Ozens is really nice true. I liked Kirbyvilles when I went to a game there a couple years back. They are the school with a new gym right? And the dog dome in Nederland is a classic with some new renovations that make it nice too.

Haven't had a winning season since 02... We still have never won a playoff game... Never been a basketball school. Coach English has really turned it around fast. However this group of seniors will be the winningest group we have had in a long time. Hammond, Torres, Pitts, Dean, and Fitch have worked harder and put in more hours than any team in years as well. They deserve it.

I know. You are right. Just a lot of people underestimated Nederland this year and it took us awhile to get some real respect on here. I think though after a few big wins we have opened a lot of eyes.

Well if Kelly beat Ozen by two. And Ozen beat Silsbee by one. Doesn't that mean Kelly should win by three? ??? ??? Sounds like a good pick to me... Kelly by three. lol
