How was Blue Dove in any way to blame for this?? ??? He basically said the previous coach wasn't winning at all and the kids deserved a better coach. That's what coaching is about, WINNING! If you can't win then you can't coach! The new coach was doing a great job! He had the team winning! He just got dismissed for things off the court. How is that Doves fault? If anything he should be getting credit for helping the team win a few games! And if the school board is listening to Dove on a message board posting behind an alias (even though we all know who he is) then HF ISD has much bigger problems then the basketball coach.

Agree. He is not just happy that we won. In the bigger picture we wouldn't beat most conference teams playing like that.

Lufkin doesn't have to much talent but they are very well coached. That itself keeps them in games.

Did he say that's why he played the bench guys so much? I thought he just benched Miles because of his thumb injury he has and that's why Lynch played so much. And Donley played more because Mike was being Mike. Just thought he was giving players some minutes in a game he didn't need the starters to win. Agree though. Worst effort of the season. And free throws stunk.  Cardinals could easily be 8-1 right now! Should be 8-3 by the time we go play Ohio State and Kentucky.

Lamar wins 80-63! Mike James didn't start but came in 4 minutes in and never came out. He had 25 points and played very well. Anthony Miles added 16-6-8. He had a great all-around game with a messed up thumb. The all-time series between the teams is now tied 41-41.

To answer your question LamarTech, that game almost sold out but did not. Montagne hasn't been sold out.

Well you can also twist the numbers to look like this. Ray only had to maintain or have attendance drop by 1000 from last year but Pat has to raise attendance 1000 from last year. Ray got the better end of that deal!
