You hit the nail on the head there coach. HBU budget is already middle of the pack un the SLC. So they have money to add to their facilities. And with the better conference and their budget their teams will improve. Just follow the money trail!

Small correction Lazeek. Its highway 365 out of Nederland and then turns into 326 I believe. Rebounding and turnovers are the key to this one. I think Ned has a small edge in both and wins by 5.

Technically he is suspended indefinitely. He has a chance to change his attitude and his lazy ways, and if he does he will be reinstated to the team. If not, his collegiate career is over. Hopefully he can get it right. PA News had an article about it today if someone wants to post it.

I'm not saying how this will help Lamar. Because it won't. It will hurt Lamar because they are already better at several non revenue sports. But it will help the conference as a whole. Their Athletic department will be just as good as UTA at least. Who do you think and want the SLC to go get? Tarleton state? That's about the best you could hope to get to replace Texas State or UTSA. None of the teams that can replace those schools or anywhere near the caliber of those 2 programs.

HBU can beat Lamar and has a chance to win several championships in different sports. They have the budget to compete and will only make the league better. I think now the SLC needs to add Abilene Christian and be done expanding.

Woodards job is safe. And it should be. However I do think he needs to make a change are 2 on his staff. Maybe offensive line. This game was much closer than it looked. 6 minutes left it was a 7 point game. Several pick sixes thrown by our 4th string qb caused it to look like a blowout. Huge recruiting weekend for the cardinals. They had about 25 recruits making their visits. 10 of so from the JC ranks. The biggest name was Traylon Shead. He is a running back transfer from UT. Him and his 250 pound brother would be great additions. Hopefully Woodard got several of these guys to verbally commit last night.

Defense still had plenty of holes but they forced turnovers! That's the main key. We didn't turn it over much and they did. The other key was special teams. We still missed a kick but blocked a punt for a TD and returned a kick for a TD. Doing the little things right leading to victory! Finally, Bevil came in and really sparked the offense. He deserves a lot of credit for that.

If Ned plays like they did against Goose Creek then I think they get beat. this is a better team and Ned can't be flat!
