  1. We beat Memorial the summer before my senior year when we went 5-9 in district. Memorial is never good in the summer.
  2. The excuse the players were using is that they kept miss playing the wind. All the punts would go over their heads. You would think after the first one they would learn to adjust.
  3. I was surprised Franks didn't get more playing time since Powdrill was out. They both play that slot receiver position.
  4. No I was at the game and clearly saw him run in and out routinely. He is used a lot like James Casey is used for the Texans. He does line up more often at tight end then anything but he is also used as a set back.
  5. Central has Nederlands number. But game is at nederland so I'll go 22-21 Dogs!
  6. That is all being worked on as we speak. They are much closer than many people think to owning all the land around campus from MLK to Lavaca to Jim Gilligan way. Also I have heard Pres. Simmons talking about the LU 2020 Vision plan that he wants to have all kinds of businesses and entertainment adjacent to campus to help get students here and keep them here on nights and weekends. Also as part of that he has lots of plans to renovate and build bigger and better buildings and statues and the like. There is now a whole department of people working on going to millionaire alums for donations. The goal for Simmons is to have as much of all this work done by the year 2020 as he can. So it is coming and improving as fast as the money will allow.
  7. What happened to our starting corners? Garrett and Thomas both started all last year and barely played this week. With how bad our secondary played why weren't they in the game more?
  8. Hanna starts at a fullback type position. Used more as a blocker and tight end. Rarely gets to carry it but is still oh the field quite a bit.
  9. Lamar has come such a long way in just the couple of years I have been here. I have seen countless improvements. It seems that Lamar is fixing the campus first and slowly branching out. We will keep improving as long as Simmons stays and keeps pushing for it. I like where we are headed but its still a long road to get there.
  10. Smashmputh, they are using him a lot like the Texans use James Casey in their offense. He is an H-Back who motions around a lot. Sometimes he's lined up as a fullback, tight end, slot receiver, or a set back. He has aren good playing time this season.
  11. Huge loss. Time for the whole defense to step up!
  12. Good defense. Bad offense. Opposite of SLU. Should be a good game though.
  13. Have a bad feeling (knock on wood) but I still pick Lamar. 23-17.
  14. Dogs start execution of cats in the area with the Lions. Jaguars and Panthers soon to follow.
  15. Deserving. Now just can't be like Romo next week. Consistency Consistency Consistency!
  16. PNG by double digits. Won't be close, sorry L-Town.
  17. Lamar University. Undefeated in conference since 1986. If the team and especially Bevil play like the second half today, we will make a lot of noise this year. Great game Cardinals!
  18. TD Marcus Jackson! 48-31 Cardinals. Followed by Lamar interception by Guillary! 1st and 10 Lamar at the SLU 40. Just under 8 minutes left.
  19. Venson has looked great in the absence of DPG besides the 1 fumble. Logan, who is also been impressive, is hurt now. Right ankle is what it appears to be.
  20. TD Lions on a 3rd down qb sneak. Jacody Coleman slow to get up. 41-31 Cards. 11 minutes left.
