I think Woodard made a good decision by hiring from within. The players don't have to learn a new system. He can continue with the momentum he in part has developed with the defense the past 2 years. He know all his players and their abilities. Plus Woodard already trusts him and knows his style. As far as the Texas comparison, the Longhorns had Co-DC for the past 8 years or so. In that time they won 9 games every year except last year and went to 2 National championship games and won 1. I would love if Lamar could ever get close to that at FCS.

He didn't jump from a high school DC to a college DC. He jumped up to a college position coach for multiple seasons and now has another promotion to Co-DC. Dodge jumped straight to head coaching in FBS. His offenses were just fine. That's why he now has a job at Pitt.

Rangers would LOVE if he is as good as Miguel Tejada.

Texas has had co-defensive coordinators for several years. Worked fine for them. Typically one is giving play calling duties like a normal DC and the other is just giving the title to help keep from leaving the school and also a pay raise.

After last night, the Rockets have 4 of the top 11 picks of the 2009 draft. You would think they would be 10 times better just from hearing that.

I have never really understood the conference argument. I could care less about a conference. I love Texas, Florida, and Michigan and don't care what conference they are in. I just don't get why now people get so into fighting about which conference is better? Oh well SEC is hands down better now if it matters. I just don't think it does. Besides it all fluctuates through the years anyway.

Well you have to sit down with Pence and really try to get a feel for what he is thinking. If you think he wants to stay and sign long term then you keep him. If you think he wants to leave then you trade him. Got to have a heart to heart.

The Supers are over with 6 national seeds in Omaha. That is up from only 3 last year. Lots of great teams. Predictions for who makes it to the championship series? I like an all SECOND championship of Florida and the real USC. But it is so wide open this year! Rooting for an all Texas final! Hope the Horns can get that 7th national title!

If A&M can score as many runs as yesterday they will win. Wacha won't allow many runs.
