  1. Spring practice is over...... And OU still SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Heck I'm not opposed to making a region 3 section of the forum for the rest of the region. It would help get info on teams come playoff time.
  3. I see. And my money is on Ohio State as that last big name road game.
  4. Heard from one player that Tremell Adams will likely transfer. He also said several JC big guys are being recruited.
  5. Still playing the 4 non D1 schools. But looks like a pretty solid schedule.
  6. The first of the spring conference shake ups is announced. UMass will join the MAC for football only in 2012.
  7. The coach has to be the leader of the team. First, he is responsible for the safety of his players. This mostly comes into play with pitch counts. A coach can't risk ruining a players career because he needs 3 more outs. Also he shouldn't rush a player back from injury before he is ready. These guys are way to young and have way to many good things in life ahead of them. Second, the coach has to do whatever it takes to win, as long as the players are safe and he follows the rules of the game. After all, this is his job. Not a hobby. He has to keep his job so he can provide for his family and his lively hood. Winning is how that is done. Very very few coaches are fired if they win and follow the rules. Before I get to the players I want to address the parents. I get that you are entitled to your opinion, and a lot of the time that opinion is dislike for the coach. However, you are not entitled to go and try go get a coach fired because your son isn't playing enough. I recommend talking to the coach about it but don't go trying to ruin the mans career. This is how he provides for his family! I suggest you tell your son to work his butt off until he is head and shoulders above his peers and the coach has no choice but to play him. I guarantee the coach won't bench him just because he doesn't like him. If the kid plays the game right, and can help win games the coach won't intentionally keep him on the bench. Lastly, the players have to have respect. You are the player. The bottom of the totem pole. Respect your coaches. They must work hard. I understand they are kids and lots of priorities. But you made a commitment to your team so while you are at games and practices work your butt off. You don't have to put in all the extra after practice hours, but if you don't, do not get mad when another player becomes better than you and you are now riding the pine. Okay. Sorry, I'm off my soap box now.
  8. 1. UNC. They have so much back. 2. Kentucky. If they all stay. Which it is looking like. Have the best looking recruiting class I have seen in a while. 3. Texas. If and only if everyone stays. Still need to see them play well late in the year. 4. Ohio St. Will be good yet again. 5. Duke. Lots of good recruits and the best coach in college basketball.
  9. You guys are all suck ups!! Just trying to improve your karma! ;D But seriously, I love the sight and appreciate all the hard work.
  10. I would say Trevin Sonnier from Nederland. But I haven't seen all teams play.
  11. Ogando has been lights out for Texas this year. Especially as the 5th man.
  12. LU lost game 1 last night 9-4. Blake Ford just didn't have it. We need to at least win 1 game this series.
  13. Keep in mind coach Knight only has 1 scholarship available this year. Also we have recruited several local kids. Kenyon Spears, Darius Harris, John Mertz, Brandon Chappelle, and Ashton Hall just the ones that immediately come to mind. We aren't going to get everyone. And who knows if Lamar has a lower evaluation of some of these players than other schools.
  14. They will release the tickets of those who didn't renew today. Then start looking to upgrade people the next 2 weeks.
  15. Would be really nice for the Southland to win a regional. Texas State could do it.
  16. we just don't have enough top notch players in the area to really worry about being in great with local players to make sure guys stay close to home. Football is different. But not basketball. How many D1 players went off these last few years? I can only think of 1 and I'm not sure we even tried go recruit him.
