This years wac conference is still way better than the southland as a whole. And Utah State would beat anyone in the southland by 20. They played a tough Kansas state team down to the wire.

Whenever they were routinely winning they had sellout crowds. But in a down economy, with no star player people want to go out of their way to see, and only playing 500 basketball you aren't going to get huge crowds.

Silsbee is getting respect. They are #3. If they want to be higher they have to beat the caliber teams that Ned and LCM have beat.

I understand everyones points but I just to take a minute to give a shout out to J'Covan Brown. He has silenced critic after critic including me. I think everyone on this and this area thought he would never make it at Texas. Most of that brought on by himself because of his attitude problems but the kid has made something of himself! He has not only made it at Texas but when it mattered most and the Horns season on the line they put the ball in his hands. He led them all the way back and they would not have made it this far without him. I just want to congratulate the local guy on a job well done. Keep working hard JB!

1. LCM. They won both games this week and have been solid all year. 2. Nederland. Lost against a good Vidor team but bounced back nicely against PNG. 3. Silsbee. Didn't have much this week but took care of business. Suprised at how well they have played this year. Their record speaks for itself.
