New Mexico St beat Cal State Northridge 6-5 with a walk off single in the first game of the tourney.

All three schools (Sam, TSU, and Lamar) are members of the Texas State University System. They get pretty equal funding. And even though each has their own academic strong suits. They are overall about even.

For the record, Texas State and SELA were both one of the top 5 teams out of the tourney last year. And by playing games against low RPI teams that eliminates any hope of an at large bid for Lamar. Not that this team has the talent to do so because they don't. They must hope to get hot at the right time again this year.

I agree. Lamar has been playing better these last 5 games. To bad the they started conference HORRIBLY! Still think Roc is leaving at the end of the year but I hope we can get in the tourney. We have proven we can play with McNeese. They needed a buzzer beater to win. Just get the job done Saturday.
